How to change psp background

The process of changing the psp background is very easy and it's not complicated at all. Yet most people are totally afraid to try it. By the way if you have the old Sony PSP firmware, this information may not apply to you. However if you have the latest versions of the firmware you'll be able to do it in seconds. The later versions add a lot of functionality to the psp including the ability to change the background or wallpaper on your PSP.

Basically, you can set any image as your psp background wallpaper as long as it's size 480x272 pixels. Just get any photo you like and resize it. Or you can get some really cool professional backgrounds that you can download online and use. Now all you have to do is copy the photo or background to your PSP.

Insert your Memory Stick Duo into in your PSP if you don't already have it there. (It's a good idea to format the Memory Stick with the PSP itself). After that connect your PSP to your PC using a USB cable. Your computer will recognise your PSP through the USB and assign it a drive. Your PC may need to install some drivers first, follow the instructions on the screen to do that.

Now double click the USB drive on your PC and navigate to the PSP/PHOTO folder on your PSP device. This is where you should place your psp background wallpaper that you want to use. Disconnect your PSP from your PC and browse to the PHOTO directory/ folder where you placed your photos/backgrounds. Select the background that you want to use and choose the option to set it as background wallpaper. On your psp just make sure the wallpaper options are set to 'use'. That's it.
