Selecting Clickbank Product Overview

One of the first thing to be successful in Clickbank program is to select the right product to promote. This is the first important point that every affiliates need to know. So the question is how can the affiliate member select the clickbank product? Well, let me share four inside tips based on my personal experience to select the right clickbank product to sell. They are:

1- Gravity
2- Dollar Earned per Sale ($/sale)
3- Number of competition
4- Will You Buy this Product Yourself?

Okay, so let's get into details, shall we?

1- Product Gravity

You would have noticed by now that when you search for a particular product in Clickbank marketplace, you see some statistics describing the product. One of which is Gravity. Okay, so what is product gravity anyway? Well, product gravity is a score Clickbank assign to each of the affiliate product showing how well the products are sold and how recently the selling took place. In other words, the higher the gravity, the more money the affiliates are making money or the hotter the product. Conversely, the lower the product gravity, the lower the number of products being sold. As such, you should be selecting a product with gravity between 70 to 130 (based on my own experience). Reason being that, you do not want too many competitions out there, do you?

2- Dollar Earned per Sale

Okay, now you understand the importance of selecting the right gravity, what's next? Well, the next thing you should look at is the dollar earned per sale. This is the total earning Clickbank gives to you once you successfully convert the visitor into a paying customer. Obviously, you would want to select a product with high dollar earned per sale so that your effort of helping to sell Clickbank product does not go to drain.

3- Number of Competition

You are not alone. Clickbank is a famous affiliate program with many affiliates trying to sell the same products. As such, you need to be aware that you are there competing with so many people out there in the field. So before you decide on a product to sell, it is wise to do a Google search on that particular product to see how many people were selling the same product as yours. Two parameters you need to note down: 1- Organic Search Result and 2- Sponsor Search Result. For instance when I Googling the term LMT Forex, the organic search results show me 5,530,000 and more than 12 advertisers under sponsor listing. Now, if you search for Burn Fat in Google.com, you will see than 18 millions results in the organic search result alone. There is a fierce competition in the fat burning business, for sure!

Okay, so my suggestion is to go for the product with less than 1,000,000 sites showing in the Google organic result page and with less than 8 Clickbank advertisers.

4- Will You Buy the Product?

Once you have reduced down the number of qualified products for you to sell based on the above 3 parameters given earlier, it is time to check out the landing page of the product. Here, you need to make sure that on the landing page:

- No Adsense, or other distracting elements on the page
- No email subscription box (otherwise, you are just a lead generators for the seller)
- Call for action box (such as: Buy now button, Limited Edition button etc.)

Finally, ask yourself if you would buy the product yourself if you are the potential buyer? Well, it sounds difficult especially when there are so many words to read in the landing page. But trust me, it is worth it. So take time to do this final step and you are just one step before your final destination - Making Money through Clickbank!
