How to choose perfume

Faced with so much perfume offer of dozens of brands, it can be difficult to choose your perfume. However if you know the 'development' or 'composition' of a perfume, your chance to buy the right perfume increases. These text is divided into items - it is a bit long but worth the full read - How to choose perfume:

1 - When you 'sprinkle' the perfume in the strip of paper that the sellers usually offer, do not put much – just put enough to smell the aroma. I always advise to put a little in the wrist and go for a walk and after about 20 or 30 minutes, you should smell your skin and see if you really like what you feel. The scent that is good in your colleague can not always look good on you, because the effect scents vary according to skin type. In dry skin the scent evaporates easily and in oily skin it usually fix more easily.

2 - Places where you should apply the perfume: wrists, behind the knees, neck, ankles and between the breasts. I never applied behind the ear and near the nose, this is bad, depending on the perfume it can cause allergies, headaches, and a saturation of smell, sometimes making it 'insensitive' to other odors.

3 - The fragrances are composed of: Ethanol, Propylene Glycol, Deionized Water and Essence. What differentiates the parfum, the eau de parfum, the eau de toilette, the eau de cologne and Splash is the amount of essence (aromatic oils) and sometimes the amount of propylene glycol placed in the formula.

Thus the fragrances are classified as:

Parfum: 20 to 40% of Essence (usually stronger and with high setting)
Eau de parfum: 12 to 18% of Essence
Eau de toilette: 8% to 14% of Essence
Eau de cologne: 3 to 7% of Essence (usually smoother and it can be used in the whole body)
Splash Perfumes: 1% of Essence

4 - Main olfactory families

- Eastern Floral: Generally composed of essences of vanilla, patchouli, ylang ylang. Ususally used into sophisticated, strong, sensual and memorable pefumes.

- Leather: Dry fragrances, often based on raw materials such as wood, moss, etc. Almost always originate male perfumes, dry and striking.

- Dried fruits: Hybrid fragrance derived from spices such as tarragon, basil, and spices such as cloves, cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg. It translates into warm perfumes and giving sense of freedom and nature.

- Citrus flowers or fruit: The raw materials are extracted from the peel of fruits such as lime, lemon, orange, tangerine, among others.
It Originates fresh, citric or acrid odor perfumes, ideal for summer and relaxing moments.

- Fougère: Compiled from raw materials normally extracted from wood, are known as woody. Are widely used in male fragrances causing light and fresh aroma.

- Cyprus Floral: The raw materials are from the mosses, mostly oak. Are more classic and sophisticated and generally appreciated by the male.

5 - Olfactory families

The composition of a perfume is the result of a combined average of 75 to 200 essences. So it is sub-divided, or composed of top notes, middle notes and bottom notes. It means that the smell is practically divided into stages. Each note has its time of evaporation and therefore also has its time and duration of fixation on the skin.

Top Notes: This is the first impression one gets. These notes evaporate in about 3 minutes.

Heart Notes: This is the true smell of perfume and it keeps in the skin for about five to eight hours.

Background Notes: These are the last notes to evaporate, remaining on the skin for up to twenty-four hours. (Usually these are the most pleasant notes and we like to have them on the skin. vendas por catalogo

6 – The perfumery usually has a small cup containing coffee beans, used to 'clean up' the smell of perfume that you just smelled - the coffee gives greater olfaction sensitivity. So do not smell a perfume without first smell the aroma of coffee beans.

I think that knowing the above information, it is much easier to know which perfume to buy! Happy shopping!
