How to Connect to the Internet On the iTouch

As more and more consumers are opting to invest in smart phone technologies, there are even more that are being left behind without the ability to use the Internet on the go. By investing in an iTouch, users can connect to the Internet on the iTouch. While you must be in a Wi-Fi hot spot to do that, it still gives people the opportunity to use the Internet in places they never thought possible.

If you want to connect to the Internet on the iTouch, it is fairly easy to do. First, when turned on, the iTouch will automatically connect to whatever network is open in the area. If there is no network open, the iTouch will begin scanning for Wi-Fi networks. If it finds one, it will try to connect and will prompt you for a password if applicable. If you know the password, simply enter it and a few seconds later, you will be able to surf the web.

You can set it to automatically connect to the Internet on the iTouch or manually connect. To set it up automatically, you want to go to Settings then to Wi-Fi and turn it on. This means every time you turn on the unit, it will seek out the Internet on its own and only prompt you for a password if necessary. You can further customize the Wi-Fi settings by either letting it connect to networks or asking you if you want to connect to a certain one. If you are on the go, asking to connect to networks is probably the safest way to stay on secure Wi-Fi spots.

In order to find Wi-Fi hot spots, you can either let your iTouch do it for you or you can search out spots ahead of time. You have to be able to connect to the Internet on the iTouch somehow, so if you take the time to search before you head out, you may find Wi-Fi hot spots in your area to make it easier for you. Otherwise, you will have to find a place to connect on your own by wandering around until your iTouch finds on for you.
