Here is the steps and things you need to create standard yet beautiful aquarium. Not really maintenance free but it's considered because you only need minimal care. So for starters, building an aquarium is not expensive and not time consuming as well. So anyone could try it. invest a little and live up with this hobby. trust me, It's a cool thing to do.

So This is the basic ingredient you'll need

a fish tank, small pebbles and rocks, water filter(waterfall type), a light stand, anti-chlorine

I'll write it simple and briefly, most of you will understand. Put all the small pebbles and rocks at the bottom of the aquarium. fill the aquarium until it reach at least 3 inches height level. this step is crucial for crystal clear water as the fish poop will be stored inside bottom layer of small rocks.

Then pour fresh water into the aquarium until water level at almost full.This step just to make sure the filter gets enough water level to let the water suction working. Next, place the filter on top of the aquarium hanging. It hangs over aquarium, this kind of waterfall model filter is cheap, low wattage, low noise and have many great features included such as micro-bio chemical substance, nitrate remover, bacteria balancing... etc which you don't want to know. Turn On the filter, the water drops like waterfall... cool huh? it makes a bit of water flowing sound to make us feel more fresh!

Ok, basically now everything is done, now add some antichlorine into the water then you can start placing fish to the aquarium. but wait! there are still more to add to your aquarium to enchance it, you can buy fake plants... which is not that nice and unrealistic. For Plants you can choose those aquatic plant attached to Wood pile. Those are easy to care and very very durable. unlike normal live plant without wood. they dies after a month or so. Add 2 or 3 of them depends on your fish tanks size. Oh, and remember to put lights on as some plants need lights to survive.

now you can put fish into the fish tanks.(remember - put the fish you brought which is in plastic bag floats on the water of new aquarium you've just setup to let the fishes optimize the temperature. Otherwise, it will have casualties.) Other things you can add.

light stand(some comes with built in), aquarium background wallpaper. air pump for bubble making. etc

The aquarium maintenance

You only need to wash the filter piece in the water filter system once every month. The quality of the water will be crystal clear. And just add more water when the water level drops.

What about the fiecies? with real plants inside the tanks, you can totally ignore thems. But after years, you can use somekind of manual suction pump. Put the suction paip into the bottom rocks then hand press the pump to pump out all those shits. beware! after years it will be quite nasty when you bother the bottom rock area of the aquarium.

That's all about it. Now you'll have a nice aquarium in your house. see fishes swimming around your beautifully designed aquarium and make a calming effect. (and... sry for my poor english) :)
