Ways of getting backlinks without asking

Asking other website owners for backlinks can be a very time consuming activity. So here are 5 of the best ways to get backlinks to your website without having to do the tedius work of contacting other website owners for a link to your website.

5 Simple ways to get backlinks to your website.

1) Make it obvious and easy for people to link to your website.

This may not make sense, and may seem very simple because you know how easy it is to make a link on your website. But does everybody find it that easy? Hmmmmm probably not. Create a area under your website content urging people to copy the code and link back to your website if they enjoyed the reading. Something as simple as "Enjoy the article? Link to it so others can benefit too." may be all it takes to get that quality link.

2) Link to other websites.

I dont know about you but i have noticed that almost every 'Pro hubber' on this website, has links going to other websites, related to their articles. Help your readers out by providing links to those related articles you have found that are related to your website, from my experience, you begin to rank better for the words you actually use to link to the related websites.

3) Publish articles on other websites.

This might sound like a stupid idea, but the truth of the matter is, that there will always be websites that get more traffic than yours and if you can add your content to their website with a back link to your website, chances are some of their visitors will end up on your website too. EzineArticles is a great place to begin doing this, but they shouldn't be used exclusively. EzineArticles provide articles that other people can use, but they must keep the articles as they are posted on the website. So if you post an article that everybody wants to put on there website with a back link to your website, that will only do wonders for your backlink popularity.

4) Create QUALITY content and lots of it.

Ok, i may have lied, you have probably heard of this one, and possibly others as well, but this is one that i cant stress enough and it is not an easy task. Keeping your readers glued to your website can be a real mission, but in the long run will be beneficial. Repeat visitors to your website means credibility, credibility means back links, back links means higher search engine rankings and higher rankings means more traffic.

Notice the order of this, QUALITY content was first! ;-)

5) Publish newsletters.

Publishing newsletters is a great way to get people to visit your website, you can also copy this newsletter content over to your website and provide a link your newsletters so that people can easily paste that into their websites for there readers. Remeber the ease factor. The easier it is for them to get your link on their website, the more likely it is to happen.

The one big question now is..... When will i find the time to do this? Well... time is always a factor. Finding the time to do ALL these things is not easy, but using every spare 5 minutes you have to do yourself a favour would be a great start. These things don't have to happen over night, but gradually they will add up to something great!

We love Tauranga, there was a time when we would be in Tauranga at least once a month.

We had a great friend living there and he was unable to drive far.

Tauranga can be a great place to live, can also be boring at times though. Being a blogger, you find yourself everywhere but outside anyway. Weather has been shabby, but having a nice few days now :)
