how to know if your washer transmission is broken
68a washing machine is very important in our everyday lives,we need clean clothes daily, like all the other appliances that we cannot live without, refrigerator, stove, dryer, dishwasher, toaster and blender we go crazy when they stop working.
a washing machine can break in different ways some are more obvious than others,if it is leaking water or not starting those are easy to diagnose, but if there is a problem with the transmission it might work sometimes, and don't work other times, there might be oil leaking on the ground or in some cases there might be some oil stains on the clothes.
If you have a small load it might wash and spin ok, but on larger loads the clothes might come out wet, however there is one way for sure you can know your transmission is defective,if at the end of the wash you find pieces of your clothes tangled and tied to the agitator, that is a definate sign that your transmission is defective.
another way to know if your transmission is going bad is if it starts making a loud noise during the spin cycle.

Excellent repair video. Very helpful for general tear-down and repair; concepts can be applied to various makes and models.
