How to Let it Be When You are Upset

Let Your Emotions be your Guide.

I believe that God (the Universe) gave us emotions as a way of knowing if we are in harmony or not. We are humans and are emotional beings. My emotions are my guide to know if I what is going on inside of me.

We all have times when we are really upset. Sometime things happen in life that just don't seem fair. I know, that when I am upset or stressed it affects me in many ways. It affects my health, my mindset, my relationships. So my goal is to be in harmony. My emotions are my guide. Here are some of the ways that I work through "being upset" or out of harmony and how I become calm.

Once I go through these steps I often feel so much better.


  • Be in the present. I remind myself, that I can't change anything in the past. Nor can I change the future. I can only live in the now. And in this moment, I choose to breath and to be calm and to just be.
  • I remember that everything has a purpose or lesson. I ask myself what can I take from this.
  • I am grateful. I thank the universe for this experience as everything happens for a reason. I thank the universe for this lesson.
  • I meditate and go within. I ask, "What can I do or what is my purpose". Sometimes I know what to do and other times I know that the answer will reveal itself in its own time.
  • I separate myself for the "problem". And look at it from the outside for what it is. I ask myself, how important is it? Really, How important is it.
