Bum Marketing is getting more and more popular among the new internet entrepreneurs. Why is that, and why do most fail to make money with it?

It's supposedly works, and it's always has worked. Bum marketing is a great direction to go when starting your internet businesses IF you're prepared to work hard for it and be prepared to pump out tens of articles every day.

Bum Marketing is one of those "life lessons" more than a way to simply make money, in my opinion. It will teach you something of utmost importance in life: How to sell.

So what is the average day like for your typical Bum?

The place where the majority of new Bums start is at Clickbank. Clickbank.com is an affiliate network where people then can browse in their marketplace and pick out products that they want to "recommend" to others, and then they simply click "get hoplink" and they'll get an individualised link with their nickname in it. Every time someone goes through their link to make a purchase, the bum will recieve credit for it and gets a percentage of the total profits, usually between 50% to 75%, 75% being the maximum within the CB network.

The next thing a bum would want to do is this: Get that link out to the world as far as possible, and sell people on this product and try to get them to order through that link of theirs. This isn't necessarily a bad thing in any way, as the first impression is to many. People have problems. This is natural. Bum marketers take advantage of this (hopefully in a proper and mature way) and get solutions to people with these problems. And please, ignore that stupid ad right above this paragraph.

Really, this is what every marketer in the universe should be trying to do: Find people that have problems, and then give them the solutions to these types of problems.

The main method behind the bum marketing is article marketing. You write articles, articles, articles. When you're finished you write some more articles. These articles would then link to a free page such as a free blogger blog or similiar. Some people use free webhosts and host an entire site for this. This wouldn't really be classed as real BUM marketing, as it would cost you money to pay for the host and domain. Then on this free page, the bum has their own link and they sell people on this product and how it can benefit them and provide a solution to their problems.

The term "bum marketing" derives from the idea that you are able to take a bum off the streets, have him dropped in front of the local library computer and build streams of income, because you use only free methods.

What are the problems with Bum Marketing? why isn't everybody online working with it? Are there better ways to make money online?

Well, there are better ways to make money online for free, and we will get to that in a second. First I'd as to talk a bit about the problems with bum marketing today.

When the bum marketing method first got published by Travis Sago, it was actually a lucrative method. You could, in the past, easily just write a few articles and make quite a bit of money off of that. This is not the case today.

Today, you have to do a lot more work. Hard work. Some of the various successful bum sellers today can pump out up to 50 articles a day, which is simply insane. Bum marketing is definitely not for everyone, but I guess it's a pretty good way for someone to get started online, and then they can move on to more a profitable businesss model.

So the main problem is the competition. With an enourmous amount of bums out there, it is really hard surviving in the bum marketing industry.

What are other profitable ways to make money online, and for free?
