straddle jumps in 3 steps

when performing a straddle jump or a toe-touch jump it can be difficult to perfect.

Step 1: It can be hard to rise ur legs up high. Something that hepls is to stretch your legs regularly. Also to reach maximum height you could practice building upper body strength by lifting weights or by stunting in cheerleading. This helps because when you are jumping you want to keep your arms in a T form with your body, so therefore while doing so your arms and upper body can help lift you up when in this T form. Next, you can try bringing your legs up to conjoin the T like form and bringing your legs up you are already on your way to a perfect jump. Take note that even though your legs are not raised heigh while jumping you still get added points for having good form, also it tends to look better.

Step 2: One of the most difficult and complainable issues with straddles/toe-touches is the complaint of your legs not getting raised enough. One secret is to learn how to rotate your hips out, so when you jump your legs will essentially spread wider. It is difficult to learn this concept. You can gain a sense of rotating your hips by standing still and then going in to the plea position (which is were you stand straight and then move your feet facing opposite and facing outwards) Then while doing so feel your hip bones shift outward and you will fully understand how to rotate your hips.

Step 3: Sit in you jump. It tends to make it easier if you sit in your jump while your legs are raised and arms are in a T. Also remember to keep your hands in fists and toes pointed.
