Can you reach Google 1st place with Hubpages?

In this hub I'll talk about how to reach google's first place, using criterious research of keywords, so you can make money. What is the less amount of traffic and the maximum amount of competition that we are looking for when we create an hubpage, blog, website and we want to win money with adsense?

Lets use Hubpages example!

Well, for starters we have to face each hub as if it was a website, in which the keywords that we choose are going to be the origin of almost all the visits we are going to receive. Quite possibly, on the time to write the hub, not only the title but also the URL of the page, will be the keywords that we want to index. So, we have to manage to indexate in a position where we can get visits to those keywords.

Normally, when someone does a Google research, the distribution of cliks related to the position in the research is more or less the following:

- 1st position: 42% of the clicks;

- 2nd: 12%;

- 3rd: 9%

- 4th: 6%

- 5th: 5%

- 6th: 4%

- 7th: 3%

Can I reach Google first places?

As you look at this numbers, you can see that even if the keywords have only 100 researches a month, if we can reach first place in google we can get 42 visits. This value is better than be in 7thplace for keywords with 1000 research a month - that only gives you about 30 visits.

The keywords can even have 50000 researches a month, but if we can't reach google's first page, preferably the top 3 spots, then all that volume of research means nothing.

Bottom line, much more important than the volume of research, or the quantity of results that appear, is if we can or not reach the top 3 places in google for the keywords we chose!

Is that click worth it?

Clicks are Money!
Clicks are Money!

Each click: how much is worth?

Another thing you have to account for, besides the potential number of visitors you might have, even if they were only 42, is how much can you receive with each adsense click.

If, of those 42 visits, you get 2 or 3 clicks, the results of the hub will be much different if the clicks are worth 5cents or 1$ or 2$ each. In the first case the hub will be worth 15cents a month, in the second 6$. That's the difference between gaining lots of money with 100 or 200 hubs or gaining nilch.

So the conclusion is:

It isn't much important the volume of research or the number of google results.

It is essencial the spot we can reach in those researches and the value of adsense cliks on that niche.

Don't forget to check competition pagerank!

ADSENSE OPTIMIZATION TIPS

So to acquire the knowledge of which keywords have the most value with adsense you can and should use Google Keyword Tool. Take heed and divide the number you get by 4. So, if the announcers in adworks are paying an amount of 10$ for click, then the value per click with adsense will be about 2.50$.

After you found the niche about you want to write, then you should go to Google research those words and see what the competition is. I recommend the use of a Firefox Plugin, SEO for Firefox, to make this job easier.

The ideal is finding sites with pagerank of 0, 1, 2 or 3 (max!) in the research results. After a brief visit to the top 3 spots in google you will get a pretty good idea of the kind of "on page optimization" that these sites have and if you can dethrone them or not.

You can also search inside of Hubpages itself for those keywords, with a research like "site:hubpages.com keywords" in google to see what's the competition and if you can do better or not. You should do this in particular if the URL you want (the keywords essentially) are already taken.
