Setting up your Zazzle Gallery should be like setting up any web you want visitors to come to on the World Wide Web.

Since you will be competing with many other Zazzle Contributors it's important to set up your Zazzle Gallery correctly from the beginning.

As with any web page that is placed on the Internet keyword or keyphrase targeting is a must!  This lead you to create not only keyword targeted titles and descriptions but also categories.

1) Formulate in your mind the theme behind your Zazzle Gallery - Zazzle allows you to have as many different galleries as you like, so it's quite easy to create themed galleries based on the type of artwork your looking to promote.

If you don't want to create multiple Zazzle Galleries around different themes but instead decide to create a general gallery that features a variety of different themes, it is very important that you create as many categories around each possible theme.

For greater exposure do not create sub-categories, keep your categories on your first level.  This is better for visitors to see all the areas your artwork covers and is better in getting major search engines to scan an index the categories and there content in one pass.

Having a category then a sub-category and then another sub-category is something you should avoid.

2) When creating the categories for you Zazzle Gallery focus on keyword strategies for the name of your gallery.  Doing some keyword research this will benefit you with Zazzles internal search engine and increase organic search results from the major big three search engines Google, MSN and Yahoo.

For instance lets say you like photographing and drawing all types of cats, you could create categories for:

Black Cat Photos, White Cat Photos, Siamese Cat Photos, Grey Cat Photos, Spotted Cat Photos, Cats at play, Cute Baby Kittens At Play, Curious Cats, Sleeping Cats, Kittens On T-Shirts, White Cat On Mugs, Cats In The Garden...  and apply similar thinking to your drawings.  In each of these categories you would then place your photo work or artwork that best corresponds to each category.

3) For each category that you create, develop about a 100 word description for that category which contains the same keyword or keyphrase of that category.  Also try to include a few other related keyword or keyphrases that relate to the theme of the category.

Taking these steps early in the development of your Zazzle Gallery will generate a much greater and consistent number of visitor to your Zazzle Gallery on a daily basis and help increase sales as individuals looking for very specific products will find it in your targeted Zazzle Gallery.

As always try to generate new content on a weekly basis, the more content you have the better your chances at generating a sale!
