um (after i beat SSE) i went back to the ruins and found wolf there (the directions are correct) and im VERY sure i wasnt using Fox. i used Luigi, MetaKnight, Pikachu, and Lucas.

there is more than one place with ruins...
Specifically, it is the place called The Ruins. It is up by the bomb factory. I don't know if you can get him on your first playthrough, i just went back and got him. The otehr way to unlock him is to beat SSE and then beat classic as fox at at least normal difficulty.

AHEM, when he said "The Pit" He was referring to the platform that lowers you down the cavern with growing Crystals.
The first door appears on a ledge. Don't take it.
Keep riding the platform down the cavern, until it disappears and you fall.
Keep falling to the bottom, and you will see a floating door, along with Large Bytans appearing. (There will be a hole off to the right... Go there if you're curious)
TAKE THE FLOATING DOOR. You will see an intermission that introduces Wolf, and then you will fight him on Lylat cruise.
One life each, and Wolf is on level 9, no mattter what you pick. (Intense)

Good question!Mostly,yes. But Wolf is slower than Fox and Falco (Falco is the fastest of the starfox char.)and his final smash is red,not blue. I've heard his attacks are stronger too!

look there is more then onr ruins lvl but one of em is just called "runis" its that one .....duh

The fastest and easiest way to get wolf is to go to boss battle and use fox.
Wow, I have been playing vids for 20 years and have all the systems. Now my son is coming up as well in the video game world. I have to say that Super SMash Bros Wii is one of my favorite games right now. Great title. But as we all know this the unlockables are on point. I am going for Wolf now as I have the remaining characters.
I hate the finishing smash for fox and falco, damn ship is cluttered and clunky. Links, Toon Link, Marth, Ike all bomb. My son plays Bowser a great deal as well.
BUT as much as I hate Kirby's plump puff of a character I think he owns. Jiggly Puff is the worst character and ness, Lucas...Lets all just hide in the corner on that one.

Ness and Lucas (2 me) r only good if u know how 2 use them. But I like their final smashes. My favorites though,have to be 3)Snake's 2)Lucario's and 1)Pit,for summoning soldiers 2 help him. I would like Dedede's if he were not so slow.

Im trying to unlock Wolf and i know that you have to go the "Ruins" to unlock him, but my problem is that i dont have Ruins, its not on my SSE map... And im 66 percent done with SSE, what do i do?
You must not be far enough in SSE. You have to complete SSE (beat tabuu/great maze) then go the ruins stage and when u see the door after the 1st (the 2nd door u see) go into it and defeat wolf to bring him to your roster

I got wolf by buying the cheat code disc released by Canon. You can get it almost anywhere and it is only 50 cents. It will unlock all the characters.

To get Wolf, you don't need to be using Fox once you've beaten the Subspace Emissary. Wolf will be beyond the door at The Ruins. Specifically, the door is at the bottom of the pit that has the shards coming out of the wall. The platform moves on its own, but skip the first door. I hope this is clear enough for people to understand.
Someone said they don't have Fox. You get Fox later on. You can go back to the levels on the map that you've cleared already.

Listen, guy named Hello, you should have adventure mode and fox already unlocked... Oh yeah, and wolf is more or less like fox and falco, but he has a different gun. Fox's gun is fastest, but weakest...Falco's gun is slower, but stronger...Wolf's gun is slowest, but strongest...Hope i helped.

frankly, i'm suprised no one knew this already, but there is another way to get wolf other than using the ruins or attaining 450 brawls. Beat the Boss Battles using either falco or fox. That will get you Wolf.

u can also unlock wolf by doing like 450 brawls and u can do 450 in 2 hours by setting every1 to flower and stamminer modes. then get the cpu on brawl and make his hp no. 1hp and then keep doin brawls.

I did it, after beating SSE, I went back to the ruins and was able to defeat Wolf with, get this... THE ICE CLIMBERS!!!
I spent nearly 2 wks trying to win all the boss battles with Fox, Sonic, Mario and nothing! I went back to SSE, went to the ruins and after having picked 4 fighters (Falco, Marth, Meta Knight and the Ice Climbers) I was able to do it!

you have to beat sse because if you don't it will be covered up by subspace bomb, the percentiage doesn't do alot of anything it just shows you how much progress in completing ALL of sse, like u didn't get toon link but still be tabbuu and every thing else it would be 99%.
And you have to go to THE RUINS not the path way to the ruins or something like that.
