If you want to drop weight extremely quickly then here is what you need to do.  Basically there are 2 steps in the formula to doing this right and also in doing this in a healthy manner.  If you want to lose a lot of weight quickly, you have two objectives that must be completed each day:

1) Eat a drastically reduced diet, and

2) Exercise.

Now I am going to show you how to both of these without being miserable, and without going overboard with the exercise either (a common mistake that leads to problems and complications).


Losing weight fast: reduce calories drastically

Losing weight can be thought of as an equation.  You burn a certain number of calories each day, and you also eat food and take a certain number of calories in each day.  The net balance from that will dictate any weight gain or weight loss that you might experience.  Now, are all calories created equal?  Probably not, but for our purposes, that does not really matter, and we are not going to worry about that.  If you do what I am suggesting then you will blow right past those arguments and drop weight like a madman. 

And here is what I am suggesting: that you start out your new life with a 3 day juice fast.  Most people will immediately balk at this idea and claim that it is impossible for them to do without really trying it.  Don't do that.  Anyone can do a juice fast and it really is quite easy.  Much, much easier than dieting, in fact, because your digestive system will turn off completely by the second day and you will experience no hunger.  None at all.  People do not believe that but it is absolutely true for anyone who tries this.  Fasting is easy.

Now I do not recommend a water fast for weight loss for a number of reasons, but suffice it to say that you should be drinking as much juice as you want for 3 days with no pulp.  If there is pulp in the juice then that is like eating solid food and you may as well go get a double cheeseburger at that point.  Only juice with no pulp.  Now here is the key for the whole thing:  Go buy about 3 bags of lemons at the start of the fast and each time you have a glass of juice, cut a lemon and squeeze the juice out of it and strain it through a paper towel into your juice.  Do this with every glass of juice and make sure you don't get any of the pulp in there.  This is absolutely critical.  If you do this, then it does not matter much what type of juice you use for the base.  I would recommend cheap store bought juice and mix in some V8 Fusion with each glass.  It is of course better to buy organic fruits and veggies and make your juice from several pounds of that stuff each day but I cannot afford that.  If you do what I am suggesting you will get the same effect when it comes to weight loss and you will feel great.

That is another thing, you are going to feel fantastic while on this diet.  You will not be lethargic or anything.  In fact you will have extra energy and probably feel better than you have in years.  This is the start of a healthy new life.

How to lose weight fast: part two - exercise

If you do the juice fast as suggested above you will drop a few pounds each day.  However, if you want to really enhance your fast and get the most value out of it, you need to exercise each day of the fast (and the day before the fast too). 

This does not have to be an ultra marathon or anything.  What I am suggesting is at least 60 minutes of continuous exercise per day.  This can be as tame as simply walking for 60 minutes.  But you have to do it.  If you want to run or swim or kayak or whatever, go right ahead.  But make sure it is 60 minutes and make sure you do it every day of the fast.  No exceptions.  If you want drastic weight loss then you have to take some real action. 

Preferably you will want to push yourself a bit.  Most people will have trouble doing 60 minutes so just do what you can.  If you can walk faster then walk a bit faster.  Push yourself to sweat a little.  Get that heart rate up.  This is supposed to be exercise.  If you can do this then you are going to drop weight like crazy.  You can expect to lose 1 to 4 pounds for every day on this fast.  I suggest you start out with a 3 day fast, but later on you can do longer fasts as well.  Many people do 90 day juice fasts, if you can believe it.  The hunger is not an issue and it becomes incredibly easy by the second day. 

The fast way to lose weight really will not help you if you just return to your old eating habits.  You will learn this over time if you keep fasting.  Juice fasting will teach you how to eat healthier in the long run.  If you shift to a healthy diet and make the daily exercise a part of your life then you will keep the weight off that you lose during the fast.  If you return to your old habits though the weight will come right back on.
