Become a singer the easy and fast way
5 very easy steps on how to become a good singer:
There are thousands of people out there chasing the same dream. This dream is to become a singer, a famous singer ! This line of career is not as easy as what many think and there are thousands of people failing. Hard work, dedication and effort is required to actually make it. This won't just happen how, when and where you expect it. If you are reading this, i take it you have a great voice and you want to know more about persuing a career in becoming a singer? Let me give you some advice on how you could become a singer.
The most important thing to remember when you want to become a singer, is to make sure you get yourself heard. You should sing where and whenever you can. You should make sure you attend events, singing competitions and be part of things such as, talent shows, school choirs and recording studios. This is already a great start to be seen.
Have your own material(original songs). The majority of record labels don't take time out to listen to demo's that have songs that have already been made famous by other artists. A good way to make a great demo is to write your own songs. If you play piano or guitar then that is a added bonus because then you can write your own songs and include a great beat at the same time. If you don't know how to do either of this, then it is good if you have a friend who could help you out with it. Some websites also have beats that you can download for free from upcomming producers who offer the free download of their beats in order for you to use it on your demo. If, however, you are going to use the beat ,that you have downloaded, on a cd that you are going to be selling, you will then have to buy the rights to it.
Make sure you gear up with the latest equipment

Always practice and have your singing as close to perfect as you can. You have to make sure that you have your own unique style because nobody wants a new singer that sounds exactly the same as another famous singer. They are looking for fresh and unique artists with an individuality to them. Another good way to get your singing perfected is to take private vocal lessons, if that is not possible, then there are also a large amounts of self taught online audio courses that are sold at reasonable prices.
Once you have your material, make sure you record it onto a demo. The best place to do this is to go to a professional recording studio, but if that is not an option for you, then there are a large amount of computer programmes that you can download for free that make it possible to record directly onto your computer, with extra things, such as adding effects and mixing it, to make it sound more professional.
Make your demo heardonce you have recorded it. Start by having your family and friends listen to it and hvae them give you their honest opinions on it. The internet is another option. A large amount of record companies use the internet to discover new talent. There are so many websites that make it possible to post your music, recieve comments and download your music to listen to. Also try Myspace !
One important thing to have before getting signed to any contracts, is a manager. If you do not have a good manager, then a large amount of record companies won't listen to your music, or even accept any music given by you. Records that are sent in to record companies will be sent straight back to you, unopened and stamped "unsolicited" on it. There are, however, some companies that do accept unsolicited material, but it is a good thing to call them first and ask, just to make sure.
Things to keep in mind:
If you are not careful, you will get cheated out of money, as well as having some people try and exploit you.
If a manager is respectable and is in it for real, they will not ask for money upfront because they make their money by getting a percentage of what you have made from record deals that they get you.
Never believe somebody that says they are going to make you into a famous artist, especially if they ask for money upfront.
Investing money into becomming a singer is a must. You have to have money aside for times when you use recording studio time, paying producers to write music for you and to make multiple copies of your cd to add into your demo package.
Follow these steps and see the doors open !
