Here's a way to build your customer sales base if you happen to be new in sales I leaned a long time ago with out customers theirs no sales, this can have a big impack on you income a few years ago I decided to buy a use car so I begin to look around stopping at a few car lots just to get some ideas about what I really wanted, after a few visiteds I still had no idea what I was looking for in a used car and I never heard form the salesman I spoke with at the car lots.
LOOK AGAIN
After few months I decided to look again this time I left the arae and drove to a small town in NC call Kernesville, I stopped at a ford dealership there got out of my friends car and started looking I had about $ 500 dollars to put down as I said this was a long time time ago. I met a salesman by the name of keith we begain talking and walking on the car lot after about 10 minutes are so I told him I was looking for a nice used car he ask me did I have a Idea what I wanted, I replyed I'm not sure his next question to me was how much money do you want to spend, Really I had no idea so his next question was how much do you want to put donw, I said about $500 dollars so he took me to the new car area of the car lot,
REBATE TO PUT WITH DOWN PAYMENT
To my surprise they were having a $ 500.00 rebate on new cars and with my $ 500.00 down it's was a bigger down payment although I saw some used cars i really like I would reather have a new car. some we found a car In liked and test drove it one thing I notice about keith he made you feel good about the product you were buying,
CLOSING THE SALE
he talked about as if it was already yours he would ask things like so how do you like your new car, your new car drives so nice I really thing this would look good setting in front of your house don't you think before I new it I yes it would he sold me with out asking for the sale yet, after the test drive he explain the car to me from front to back, he made me feel good about my investment then he ask do you see anything else you like i was sold, then he said so what do you thinkdo you want this car I replyed yes, he replyed lets take care of the paper work,
Building Your Customer Base
Keith took me to his sales office to start the paper work on my new car purchase he ask me to wait there while he gether up the paper work I would need to get started, while I set their waiting on him to return I notice that he was getting a lot of calls across ti intercom and outside calls this guy had customer calling him the entire time I was there at the dealership, I notice that he also had at less 100 top sales of the month awards on his office walls, when he returned back to his office as I ask if I could ask him a question he replyed yes, so I ask who did you get all these rewards on you wall he replyed just keeping customers happy and selling them what they want. I replyed surly it's more to it then that Keith, so he gave me his secret just be nice to the customer and never for get to say thank you,
Please Explain What You Mean
I ask Keith to explian what he mean by being nice to the customer and not forgeting to say thank you before and after the sale, he replyed always thank you customer for coming to visit your business because they could have gone some where else, when you first met then then make then feel like they are at home dont push yourself on them, just start a normal conversation about something other then why they are there, let the customer tell you what they want when they are ready, when the customer begains to make a request for the item or items they are looking for if you don't have it just be honest with your customer after all you are building a friendship with this person,
