Guitar
55First Steps
There are many people that want to play the Guitar just because it sounds so nice, the sound, the music... The pleasure... They see others playing it and soon you'll wonder: "Why can't I play it?". You can be one of those! And if you are, here goes some warming up tips for you.
1. Starting
So, you feel that hunger to play the guitar. But you also feel down because it seems so troublesome... But no! Do not give up! While you have this hunger inside you, you can go anywhere. Become blind, and put the idea of playing inside your head. Follow it, and in no time you'll find a guitar. Ask one from a friend, buy one, go somewhere in which you can play. The important thing in the start is to actually have a guitar to train, be it yours or not.
2. Is this a monster?
So, you hold the guitar and, when you look at it... You don't know how to do anything! The strings have strange sounds, and no melody comes out of it. The important thing is to have something to follow. Search on the web, or get a teacher (extremely advised), and learn the basics. Soon you'll be making easy sounds.
3. I am getting the basics!
So, you probably have a teacher, or you have found a great website in the internet. However, you can only play easy songs. You feel so sad because you want to play THAT song, and you can't. Don't let yourself down. You're still a begginner, and it's not in one day that you will become a master. Instead, train.
4. I am not developing... Why?
You have played for 6 months, but you think that you could be doing more. This happens often. It happened to me. If that is the case, try to find an expert teacher, someone that has really studied for decades and that can teach you correctly. Can be a bit more expensive, but it is worth it.
5. I'm getting there.
In no time, you'll be able to play some songs and actually feel how pleasant is it. You'll feel how great is it to spend time with your instrument. Everyone should try it.
6. Last words
My last words are that, no matter how old you are, you can still learn how to play. ANd you can still be good at it. Don't feel down because you have no "talent", it's not all it takes to be a good player. So, what are you waiting for? Go try it!

When I started playing years ago, I practiced until my fingers blead and today it was well worth it, especially when you get invited to play with the people you admire the most.
Great hub.
