People search for information on the internet more than anything else.  Here's where we have to change our mindset about what business model to follow.  We can set up an internet store and wait for people to come through the door.  You build a fantastic web site, offer goods at crazy prices, but, why don't you sell anything?  You can have the most amzing gizmos in the world, but if the market wants widgets, you're not going to seel many gizmos.

Find a hot market first. Use something like google easy search and enter keywords to see how many people are searching for whatever those keywords may suggest.  Find a niche market of 30,000-70,000 people who are searching this area.  Now try looking at what your competitors are selling.  Check out how many ads are on the results page (more of that later).  Now you can work out what product you think will solve their problem - give the market what it wants.

So, you're not an expert on the subject, you don't know what to write as an information product.  Why not ask other people - go to the experts, interview them!  There are places on the internet where you can get others to research and write a product for you, places such as elance, for example.  You can also check out Clickbank for affiliate products - there are thousands of on the shelf widgets you can sell to the widget market!

Now you have your market, your product, you need to write a powerful sales letter that leads the customer to the buy now button.  There is a tried and tested system for writing a sales letter.  If you want to look at one, go to http://www.makeadream.info and have a look at the menu table.  Click on one of the must have links and you'll see what I mean by a sales letter.

Now put it on a web site.  You don't have to design one - you can build a free one (usually a 10 day trial) with templates all predesigned for you, at places like bigpixie.  Paypal and clickbank are two payment processors you can link to, if you don't use the ones offered at the free site.

Search engines - use these to bring traffic to your site.  Write blogs, use Adwords (pay per click), use social networking sites like Facebook, etc.  Point them all to your site.  Link up with a market leader with RSS links to raise your link profile with the search engines.  It also tells the search engines that you have regular new content on your page when they spider through them.  Search engines love new content.  Write articles, subscribe to ezines (online magazines).  Don't know what to write? Try article city for ideas.  Add an introduction or sales video to You Tube and link to it from your site.

Get a form on your site that gets people to sign up to your newsletter.  Build a list of followers.  There are a lot of free autoresponder systems out there.  Again, at Make a Dream, you can find out more.

Now you have your product, you have what is called Private Label Rights.  You can license others to sell your product for a cut of the profit.   Start your own affiliate program.  Again, Clickbank is a good place to start.

If you license to others, here's a general rule.  You give resell rights to your affiliates and take 25-50% of every product of yours that they sell.  You sell them Master rights for 10 times the product price and they keep 100% of what they sell.  You can sell as many master rights as you like.  You can sell Platinum Rights - then they can sell master rights too.  Platinum rights cost an average of 10 times the price of master rights. 

In your ebook, or whatever product you sell, don't forget to include back-end sales opportunities with links to your other products, or affiliate schemes.

Now you have everything set up, get Adsense and affiliate links for other marketing tools onto your web site.  Very easy to do.
