How to overcome menstruation pain

Experts believe that Nutrition is one of the basic factor for a symptom-free menstrual cycle. There are other factors also involved, however, alterations in diet help decrease some of the symptoms associated with dysmenorrhoea (in other words) painful menstruation.

 

In order to be relieved from painful periods, the monthly hormonal changes occuring in a woman’s body, the nutritional deficiencies or imbalances should be taken care of properly.

Chief among the nutrients implicated are sodium(Salt), vitamin B6 and magnesium.

 

Nutrition plan for a pain-free menstrual cycle:

q       Reduce sodium added to food;

q       Curtail consumption of refined sugars;

q       Eat more complex carbohydrates such as whole grain products, nuts, seeds, potatoes and corn

q       Increase dietary fibre intake;

q       Cut down on of overprocessed foods which lack essential nutrients;

q       Increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables grown on healthy soils, to ensure an adequate supply of essential nutrients, minerals, vitamins.

q       Beverages containing caffeine should be omitted.

q       Plenty of warm water will flush out all your toxins and keep your abdomen light;

q       Consumption of alcohol;

q       Be wary of high-protein diets, which place extra demands on the body and increase the need for some nutrients;

q       Exercise 2 days before with some push-ups can be beneficial.
