Former Pakistan Cricketer Wasim Akram's wife Huma Khan was suffering from Mysterious fever for the past five days and died in Apollo Hospital Chennai, today on 25th October 2009.
Huma Akram died at the age of 42.
She was suffering from Sepsis (tissue inflammation leading to kidney failure) and on 20th October 2009, she was arranged for emergency treatment at Singapore and flight was arranged to shift her.
On the way to Singapore she developed complicated in her health and needed immediate attendance and the flight was landed immediately at Chennai.
She was immediately taken to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and given treatment there from 20th October and kept in ICU.
Wasim Akram was accompanying her for the treatment.
She died in the hospital without regaining her consciousness.
Arrangments are being made to take the dead body to Pakistan.

It is a great loss to the nation. Wasim Akram visited India with his wife very off and on irrespective of the bitterness of the two countries and the couple was supplying the eternal bond of friendship between the people of the two countries all the time. I express my deepest sorrow for her untimely death and pray to almighty for her eternal peace.
