Really? Hypnotic Suggestion Doesn't Work?


You want to lose weight but you simply don’t have the time to follow timed eating habits or the discipline to put those sugars away when you’re in front of the TV. If you're one of many struggling to comply with your weight loss program, you may want to try weight loss hypnosis.

Everybody knows that the best way to lose weight is by exercising more and eating a balanced diet. The most dangerous ways to lose weight are via diet pills, crash diet programs, liposuction and surgery - all readily accepted in our society. Unfortunately, weight loss by means of hypnosis doesn’t go along with this same maxim.

Hypnosis? Are You Kidding Me?

It’s true. Sometimes, our brain is stronger than our biceps. In fact, many doctors are actually encouraging hypnosis to curb habits and illnesses such as drug addiction, smoking, alcoholism, or excessive eating. Studies show that hypnosis, when induced by a qualified practitioner, can help an individual follow a diet regimen for longer periods of time and with more effective results compared to a non-hypnotized group.

Dieting - An Easy Regimen to Break

The reason is quite simple. Go sit in front of the TV, place a bowl of chips in front of you, and there goes your diet. Experience shows that it's easier to eat than psych yourself up against the idea. Hypnosis gives you the much-needed motivation to curb the cravings. By subduing the impulses and reducing the cravings, you're actually regaining control of your lifestyle and, ultimately, what goes in and out of your system.

Hypnosis Mechanisms

But it's not all smooth sailing. Hypnosis, contrary to many claims on the internet, cannot magically reprogram a person's mind. Being in a hypnotic state, the individual experiences heightened suggestibility, concentration and relaxation. One does not need to by "inducted" into a hypnotic state for hypnosis to work. In some cases, hypnosis is nothing more than deep relaxation and should not be considered as a super-natural phenomena.

Whilst hypnosis does assist in weight loss, it's effectiveness is only measurable when combined into an overall weight loss program. It is not an effective means to weight loss on it's own.

Weight loss hypnois is a time intensive process, and needs to be tailored to each individual and administered by a professional hypnotherapist. Those who claim weight loss hypnosis is simple and easy are usually the ones selling their programs for a few dollars on the internet.

To Summarise

Weight loss hypnosis actually helps you to keep sensible eating a norm rather than a regimen. It develops your self image, your view about maintaining health and your lifetime goals. Hypnosis allows an individual to make step-by-step changes, to not only result in safer weight loss, but also develop personality, confidence, and a positive outlook in life.

Weight loss hypnosis is ONLY effective when used in an overall weight loss program.
