I Am Responsible To Save My Marriage
I was squirming at the thought of ending my wrecked marriage, until it struck me that it was my responsibility to try to save my marriage. At first, it seems impossible. We had gone too far to come back to our romantic selves. But then, when I recalled our courtship days, I throught, "why don't I win my partner once over again?"
Do you know that a majority of people in the world spend half their lives in trying to change their partners? Let me ask them, “If you don’t like your partner the way they are, why did you choose them in the first place?” Remember, no one’s perfect. You can’t expect your partner to be exactly the way you want. There are certain adorable and certain abhor-able things in each one of us. The trick lies in adjustment.
Act According To Your Feelings
Love your partner? Then show it! You are doing no good by hiding all your feelings inside one corner of your heart and expecting your partner to assume or understand them. One of the best tips on how to save a marriage is to show gratitude for all the good things that your partner does to you and stay cheerful.
Human psychology is weird and wonderful at the same time. When you act according to the way you wish to feel (happy, peaceful, loving, thankful, and so on), you actually begin feeling that way! So, if you want affection from your partner, be affectionate yourself.
Now, I hug my partner every time he does something for me. I give him a huge smile the first thing in the morning. My God! I can already notice a change in our way of dealing with each other!
It’s In My Hands To Save My Marriage!
Stop spending sleepless nights thinking how to save your marriage. The answer lies within you; to be precise, the answer lies in what you do. Throw all the resentment and anger that you feel towards your partner away. Accept them – as they are, not as you want them to be!
When you begin thinking like this, you will have no chance to say, “Save my marriage.” On the contrary, you will find yourself in a loving marriage loaded with care and appreciation for each other.
