Whether you like reality tv or not you can't help but to watch it. If you don't like it blame it on the real world which kind of started the trend.  I absolutely love it! lol I don't know if I should be ashamed to say that or not.  I would love to be on the bad girls club or the real world (I'm too old to be on the real world now) But I have different motives. I don't just want to be on the shows because it looks fun or because I want to *change* anything about myself, I want to be an actress! Now I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that way.  You can not tell me that people actually go on Flavor of Love because they think that he is the cutest man on earth lol People go on reality shows to be seen.  New York aka Tiffany went on Flavor Of Love and showed her butt off and got her own show (3 to be exact..I love New York 1&2 and now New York Goes To Hollywood) And from her show, Chance and Real got their show and you get my drift.

Now, I don't know if they should actually call it reality tv because I don't think a lot of it is actual *reality* The Soup constantly reports that The Hills is fake. They have to go back and do retakes of scenes.  When do you get to go back and redo something in your life? Can you turn back time because if you can please let me know, I need to go back and do A LOT of things; starting with when I got my tax refund check! lol I watch reality shows for entertainment purposes.  It's funny to see what people will do for their little chance at fame.  I don't blame them though lol I wouldn't do half the things that most people do, but I would go on something like The Bad Girls Club or The Real World and probably some of the *of love* shows too.

People do get more jobs after being on a reality show, but you have to make yourself known on those shows.  The quiet aka boring people never get seen by the real world again. Why is that? Because we can't even remember you? Why would the network trust that you can bring them ratings? Isn't that what tv is all about? Drama? lol But what's funny about that is you know that they want the people who cause drama or are always in drama, but they have the no fighting rule lol How can you expect people to be in a house together for weeks at a time, get into arguments, but then don't fight? That's crazy. 

I wonder if these people get paid. I've heard that some of them do, but most of them do it for the exposure.  Now I know you get paid from the shows like John and Kate plus 8. Speaking of that, am I the only one that doesn't really *like* the woman? I don't know if her husband is cheating like everyone is saying, but she just doesn't *sit right* with me. But I know that is extremely stressful with all those children so he may or may not be cheating, I don't know.  Anyway, back to the money.  I once had a *casting director* try to get me to give him $300 so he could find me a reality show to be on.  He claimed I would get $30,000 for 1 show and blah blah blah of course I fell for the hype.  So I gave him the money and he disappeared. The site is still around, but the phone calls stopped.  The ones he was making to me to get the money for all these shows he was casting.  So, he emailed me with a list of reality shows from Deal or No Deal, Survivor, Bad Girls Club, Real World, Project Runway, cooking shows, game shows, etc...So I looked over everything and I actually had to fill the forms out, wait for casting calls, and callbacks, submit to the shows myself.  So basically I paid him to do what I could of done for free!! There are a lot of scams in the entertainment industry (kind of like the online income industry..to learn more about that read my other hub :)

What I think is kind of pathetic is when celebrities go on reality shows.  Clearly you're on here because we forgot about you and you're trying to make a comeback.  They usually have something to promote like a CD or a tell all book. It's sad and it should be stopped lol But worse than the celebrites are these parents who put their kids on these shows like Toddlers and Tiaras (beauty pagent for children) They have on all this make up, some of them use *flippers* which are the fake teeth, they have on *revealing* outfits (with nothing to reveal of course, but it's kind of ridiculous to me.  Now some pagents for kids are semi-normal where they just show off your baby, you get money and it's all good. But these reality shows are crazy.  The mother gets mad if the kid isn't smiling or doesn't want to get extensions in her hair.  I believe it is the mother's dream and she failed and now she's living through her child.  It's not even fun to watch. Moving on...

Some of my favorite shows are America's Next Top Model (which I auditioned for ) Project Runway, Make Me A Supermodel, Intervention, For The Love Of Ray J, Charm School, I love Money, Rock Of Love, Flavor Of Love...I don't like Daisy Of Love for some reason.  I thought it was hilarious when she was on Rock Of Love, but her show pretty much sucks.  If you want to be a reality star, you can check out some of my links (I have a lot) they may be helpful to you.
