My Favourite Book of the Month

Now i knooow this book is a little old now. Came out in 2007/8 and was a bestseller. But i have yet to find another book that quite lives up to this heart renching tale of friendship, heartache, and betrayal. Hosseini is a wondeful writer, and the story moves with such fluidity and grace, easing the reader from one chapter to the next. I didn't even realise i was turning each page, moving quickly through chapters. I was so absorbed in this book it was like i was there, i was Amir, living his life, betraying his best friend Hassan, and seeking for the approval of a wealthy and powerful father.

Now let me know what your views are on this book. It definately one of my favs, but some people have said it is over rated. Furthermore, some think that it portrays a very backward, slow moving Afghanistan...

What do you think?

What are your views?

If you have any books you think should be up here as a bestseller, and just overalll a great book then please let me know!

Love, peace & chicken grease!

Xoxo

I have to say, i really enjoyed this book. I got it last year to read while on a plane and was riveted. What did you think of the plot Kemi9?

I really thought it was interesting however some drawbacks i felt, were that the story had too much going on. There was never a chance to take a breather. It was like a roller coaster. Some will love it, others...not so much
