What You Need To Know About ICICI Money Transfer

Trying to send money to India using ICICI? There are three ways you can send money to India using money transfer or international checks.

India is the second most populous country in the world. As more and more Indians leave their homeland to seek greener pastures, the need to facilitate funds transfer to India from other countries arises. ICICI offers 3 ways to send money to India. You can choose whatever is most convenient for you.

3 Types of ICICI Money Transfer

  1. Power Transfer (Web Based Money Transfer)

This is probably one of the most convenient and fastest way to send money to India aside from Western Union. All you need to do is register an online account (this is not a bank account registration; only a Money2India user registration) with ICICI.

Once you have registered, all you have to do is follow the instructions posted in the ICICI website.

2. Wire Transfer Instruction (Traditional Wire Transfer)

This is the regular wire transfer. They just gave it a fancy name like most banks do. =) You will need the recipients bank account number, account name, address and the bank's SWIFT address. You will have to use the SWIFT Code of an ICICI correspondent bank. Just mention that the ultimate recipient is an ICICI bank account.

3. Foreign Currency Cheque

You use the Foreign Currency Cheque of ICICI when you receive international checks and you want to cash in a little earlier. By using this service from ICICI, you should be able to get your money within 8 to 21 business days.
