Improving The SEO for article marketers
Improving on one's search engine optimization is an often sought after and profitable topic. World globalisation and the growing use of the internet means that search engines such as google and yahoo are seeing the rise of internet marketers, product sales and anonymous writers all clamoring over good positions in the market. A few years back, article marketers and wanna-be 'blog stars' would not have had to face the onslaught of intense competition over higher page rankings and traffic. In other words, tackling the current issue of improving one's search engine optimization would require radical thinking and bold steps in order to secure reputability and credibility.
Adaptability
In order to gain higher traffic and more back-links to articles, one would require a good spot in the search engine domain. The scene as of now has been largely saturated by all sorts of marketers out there and they have one common goal in mind, to earn profits. A profit driven life is highly desirable in all parts of the world and is testimony to our intrinsic desire to survive and be happy. There is no shame to it. To keep up with growing numbers of competitors, many have adopted conventional means that include:
- Relevant keywords
- Ensuring keywords are used in correct amounts on articles
- Vertical Searches
These methods were and are still useful but due to the growing trend of marketers out there, a new method has to be adopted. As opposed to improving the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of one's article, Search Engine Marketing (SEM) targets specific increase in traffic of one's article over a long period of time.
Sustainability is KEY
To ensure that you have the edge over all other profit-driven marketers out there. SEM is both necessary and can provide the much desired higher traffic volumes. While SEO enables one to get closer to the number one spot in the search engine database, SEM is a technique that is increasingly being employed to not only give your articles a sense of credibility but it also ensures that people actually visit your articles.
Targeting a larger audience when it comes to marketing is an age-old technique known to both internet and real-world businessmen. Yes, if you are reading this genuinely interested in getting better traffic, you ARE a businessman. Except you are an extremely modern one adapting to technological advances, namely, the internet. So how do we do it?
Well, the popular one nowadays is called 'article spinning'. Article spinning has been labeled as a black-hat SEO/SEM technique due to certain ethical issues concerning the methodology. Briefly put, article spinning is a technique used by article marketers to generate hundreds if not thousands of similar articles that require only the time and effort of actually writing one article. It does so by identifying keywords that are synonymous to other words and changing them. By doing the permutation, one can see that a single article can easily become a thousand.
So is it ethical? It is to me. Let me explain why i think this is the case. Article spinning changes words in your article that anyone could have easily done by using a good thesaurus. The only difference is that is it adapted, like marketers such as yourself, into a computer program. It is digitalizing. But remember, because so many people are using this technique, keeping up with the times, we have to do it too. We can choose not to and go over all the ethical issues, sure we can, while others are earning huge volumes of traffic as we speak.
However, article spinning has its set backs. With hundred and thousands of fresh articles, exposure is surely increased but at the cost of having to find many article directories such as hubpages and ezine articles. It also sometimes creates articles that do not sound humanely readable due to the complexities of english syntax. There are a growing number of article spinning programs out there that promise to do the best each time. Do not act on impulse! Yes the desire for profit is there but be sure to make an informed choice before purchasing any programs on the internet.
In conclusion, I think perserverence and determination are crucial in our quest for success. But as Charles Darwin once said, "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but rather the one most responsive to change."
