Internet Safety Tips for Kids

There is no way that parents could forbid their kids to access the internet nowadays. The internet has been part of their daily life; either at school or at home, children now access the internet very often even more than grown ups. This phenomenon leads to two consequences; good and bad habit.

It is true that many children are more familiar to the online world rather than their parents.They look up for resources to do their homework or classroom tasks given by their teachers and of course online game has been favourite recreation for this 22 century kids.

Since children are using the internet occasionally, they are also prone to the internet crime which is haunting every second. ID theft, cyberbullying or personal abuse are major threats for children when they enter the online world. In this case teachers and parents should ensure that their children know about how to surf safely.

When giving out advice to children about internet safety, do not forget to tell children the reason why they are not allowed of doing certain things when they are online and also what is the proper conduct. Children should know that our advice is given to help them stay safe and it is for their own sake.
