When is enough....enough? When will someone step in and take back what has be taken from so many unsuspected, recession impacted, innocent, and eager citizens searching for an income salvation? Did you read the "terms of service" that has been neatly placed in a location that was designed for you to avoid? Is it legal? Unfortunately, yes.
Imagine that you rarely check your bank balance, maybe because there is nothing in it in the first place, only to find overdraft charges or a substantial drop in funds. This is the aim of most internet scams. They inform you that there are opportunities waiting. All you need to do is subscribe to their site for a low payment of 99 cents. Wow, that seems like a steal. They provide a very formal article with images that tells you a story of John Doe who has a family that was in need of money. He subscribed and now makes money in the comfort of his own home. But wait! did you read the terms of service and disclaimer. John Doe does not exist and neither does his wife and two kids. This was intended to describe what might happen to you, although the chances are slim to none.
So your using the website that you subscribed to. Your watching videos, reading articles, and so forth. But wait did you read the terms of service because 3 days have passed and now your "trial" period is over. Now you will be charged an insane monthly payment for the services you subscribed to. It is a cruel and nasty world out there. I find it hard to believe that these scam artists can sleep at night. Well, they probably have a pretty nice bed and sheets with an unbelievable thread count. You bought it!
If you are going to buy something or subscribe to something online. Research first and read the terms of service. It is very simple to do and there is no excuse not to. So if you have encountered a scam, please share a comment in order to warn or educate the world wide web surfers.
