Don't worry, I promise I will get to iPod Touch Games in a few, short paragraphs! (If you are getting antsy, don't be embarrassed to skip forward).
Microsoft Office:
I just want to be able to view that proposal in Power Point, grab the embeded Excel document from my desktop over wi-fi, and write my presenter's notes in Microsoft Word. Can I do all of that with my mp3 player? Well, now you can! There are several software packages out there that will allow you to read, edit, share, and retrieve files from any number of places on the net.
Quick Office Mobile Suite seems the best way to do all of this, and even email the resulting file to myself for later usage!
iPod Touch as a Planner:
You can actually do this for free. Since I use Google for everything these days, I am fond of using Google calendar, and so have discovered Nuevasync which allows me to sync my iPod Touch or iPhone with Google. Heck, it even syncs your Gmail, RSS feeds, and mosf of Google's offerings!
iPod Touch Games
Now here is what we all have been waiting for! The iPod Touch and iPhone games available. Well, besides the old standbys of Mahjong, Sudoku, Minesweeper, and Tetris, there are modern and complex games coming out every day.
Bejeweled, an Internet sensation, has become the game of choice for many iPod and iPhone users. The mind-numbingly obsessive click and dragging becomes a physical addiction as your fingers beg for more action.
If you need a more familiar game, Worms has its own iPod version, there are First Persion Shooters online, and available for free, and there is even a version of Metal Gear out there, and pretty popular! There are free games, and games you pay for, solitaire games, and online games you can compete or cooperate on. Make sure you buy your software directly from Apple's iTunes site, and you should be pretty safe as far as malicious software goes, and you can also find firmware upgrades there as well, too.
