Jodie Sweetin is best known for her role as Stephanie Tanner, the middle sister, on the ABC sitcom Full House. Next to Michelle Tanner’s “You got it, dude,” Stephanie’s “How rude” is one of the most memorable catch phrases on the show.

This is part of my series of articles on what became of the cast of Full House. Please feel free to also check out my articles on Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), John Stamos (Uncle Jesse), Candace Cameron (DJ Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), and Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky).

Jodie Sweetin has one of the smaller lists of acting credits among her fellow Full House alumni. After Full House went off the air in 1995, Jodie guest-starred on the sitcom Brotherly Love, starring Joey Lawrence from TV’s Blossom, as well as his brothers Matthew Lawrence (Boy Meets World) and Andrew Lawrence (Oliver Beene).

She also did guest spots of the family drama Party of Five (alongside Lost’s Matthew Fox and the love of my life Jennifer Love Hewitt) and the hit television comedy Yes, Dear.

In 2002, Sweetin married police officer Shaun Holguin. Shortly after, she developed a serious crystal meth addicition that went completely unnoticed for almost two years. In 2005, she checked herself into rehab. Her husband filed for divorce because her addiction jeopardized his status as a police officer.

In 2006, she hosted Dead on Arrival” The Chainsaw Awards Pre-show for Fangoria magazine. In 2007, she also hosted Pants-Off Dance-Off, the show where everyday folks get to make their parents proud by stripping to their favorite songs for the whole world to see!

Also in 2007, she did a voice for Bob Saget’s Farce of the Penguins.

She’s currently completely clean and sober and has been traveling around to various colleges to discuss the dangers of addiction.

Here’s Jodie Sweetin on an ABC news program discussing her meth addiction.

Those family sitcoms really warp their casts. They all end up in the shit-hole somewhere along the lines. Full House was the weirdest show to ever air. Trey Parker and Matt Stone find it offensive. LOL Perfect Strangers was even worse.
