Why Shouldn't Wall Street Burn?

The Myth of Economic Health

People have unreasonably shackled the economic health of our nation to the whims of a speculation market that rewards greed and dishonesty.  The only street crime on Wall Street is getting caught.  A crime is only a crime if you don't make money off it.  It is the house built on sin.  Whoring the labor, homes, and futures of the world for the profit of greed heads and swine.  What we the working public have to accept is that what is bad for Wall Street is good for the American worker.  It is the slaughtering of the swine that feeds the farmer.

I have never read Marx or Lenin but I can't imagine what I just said being an original thought.  Perhaps a message from the muse himself sent on the great ethereal mojo wire right into my cerebral main switchboard.  Communism and communication from beyond the grave; I have definitely wandered into a realm of awful gibberish.

The Bitter Pill

I know this concept will get no support of any kind.  Only a sit at home writer with no grant, no publishing income, and the sort of work history that can get you arrested could support letting the markets burn.  Everyone owns something on the market unless you own nothing.  I am clearly a drugged out commie sympathizer with no assets or future; nothing to lose.  An eternal teenager rebelling against the era of Kapitolism Uber Alles that was the 80's of my youth.  But that doesn't stop me from being right or make me wrong.  Everyone of you whining about your pensions signed them into the hands of a risk market so you could get matching investment from your company.  You bought the ticket; you knew the score.  Take the fucking medicine.  Let the stock market die.

This is what comes next.  The market dies and the investor class with it.  You will all get jobs instead of getting paid to fist fuck our nation for your own profit and amusement.  The era of for profit health care and for profit prisons will make us seem even more brutal then the medieval courts of Europe.  A time when the major competing philosophies were philosophies of economics will make us seem as backwards as the Crusaders and Inquisitors and witch-burners.  Our skewed priorities will be a model for civil failure.  We cannot change what we have been but as we are seeing we must change who we are or we will be shown as cowards by history.  This is our one chance to change the course on the first decade of the 21st century as being a great global boner.  We must put behind us the century of homage to the greed heads.  It'll hurt but it'll be a good, wax on the nipples, sort of pain.

I am Decadant and Deranged.

What kind of perverted gibberish have I unleashed?  Now I am sure to be branded a thought criminal and sexual degenerate.  Forever to be entombed some where below the Smithsonian.  Forced to build a human pyramid with fortune five hundred CEO's and all other traitors and enemies of state.

I have heard Chris Hays of The Nation refer to modern conservatives as being like the Joker, they want everything to burn.  I am the opposite end of that.  They want Government to burn, I want private industry to feel the heat.

Perhaps it is all one big fake orgasm, they act all excited about the collapse but in the end, they knew what they were doing, dropping the price of stocks and real estate, only while they sharpen their teeth to do a mighty gnash down on the cheap, fried food of a market once its bottomed out to its lowest and most dangerous point. I don't know, I can only live and stroke it. great hub HB.

Your first sentence said it all. It sucks to keep a system alive that's destined to perish anyway.

Thank you both and keep jerking GT it is the one joy that as long as you have an active imagination they can't put a price tag on.

After reviewing Dark Knight I have to fully divorce myself from Chris Hayes's claim that economic Conservatives are like the Joker.  Right before the Ace of Napes said 'Everything Burns'  He made it clear how he felt about money.  The Conservatives are more like the cowering mobsters who only care about protecting their money and unleash forces they don't understand in protection of their greed.  The real Joker is Capitalism, under-regulated markets and unfettered greed, they let it out of the box and now no one is laughing.  The mad clown has twisted our nation and there is no hero to take the blame just one man we expect to fix a mess caused by generations of cowering greedy criminals.

Wow too much coffee, politics and general weirdness.

Not too much Horatio, just enough. I applaud your aggressiveness. Since your singing my song I don't mind the "in your face" style. In fact, I love it.

Keep it up and spread it far and wide. This era is in need of a few humanists who understand the concept of tough love.

The house, the house, the house is on fire...

Complete agreement here. Personally, I think wall street isn't the only thing that needs to crumble, but it would be a good start.

It will happen....

Revelation 18 2-3

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
