Kamalini Mukherjee’s hat trick.  Kamalini Mukherjee is main lead of all the three version of a movie in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.  Savari, Kannada movie is being released today (10 April 2009).  Savari is remake of highly successful Telugu movie GAMYAN (2008), later made in Tamil by the title “KADHALNA SUMMA ILLAI”.


She is a step of ahead of Asin who did two version of the same movie, GHAJINI (in Tamil, later remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan).  Kamalini, Bengali babe, born in Kolkata in 1980 holds a degree in English literature.  She attended workshop on theater in Mumbai.  She was seen in some commercial ads, before making her debut film in Hindi PHIR MILENGE a movie by Revathi.  Even before the movie got released, she was cast in a Tollywood movie called ANAND (2004).   Since then, there is no looking back.  In her very first Telugu movie, she won Best Actress award for 2004.  Since then, there is no looking back.

Since then, she has done lot of Telugu movies in Tollywood like: Meenakshi (2005), Style (2006), Classmates (2007),  Happy Days (2007).  And in 2008, she give highly successful movie GAMYAM (2008).

Kamalini has done movies in Tamil, and Malayalam as well.  SAVARI is her first release in Sandalwood.  She is all too happy to do films in Sandalwood (Kannada Movies).  She has fond memories of Bangalore, as she did her schooling here.
