Sweat lingers on the forehead and all the pores become saturated with the translucent saline liquid, the pulse beats at a rate so fast that even an Olympic runner can't compete, the voices become louder and a dizzy, light feeling forcibly manifests itself within the being, the shriek screech of tires sounds; the panic has begun. Panic attacks are consequential effects of stress and anxiety build up. Emotions spin out of control and they reduce a focused person into shreds and tears. Nobody wants to board a speeding car without wearing headgear and their seatbelt, likewise panic attacks must not be left to rule themselves independently. An exorcism is required to remove their nasty claws that choke the life out of a person's psyche. Many forms of cures are available that can limit the number of attacks and reduce the chance of a night out with friends turning into a saga in your personal memoirs.

Finding a cure is easier if the illness can be classified or deciphered. Is it claustrophobia, insomnia or is it triggered by seeing something like arachnophobia? Well, to get an accurate diagnosis a medical doctor should be consulted - the last thing that one needs is to take the wrong medication yet persist with the symptoms of your particular illness. Most professionals would refer you to a good therapist who will develop a plan that will definitely reduce the level of tension within a person's system. However, if you are uncomfortable with unveiling your deep dark secrets with somebody you don't know then turn to friends or relatives who can relate to your situation. Some fears are instilled from a young age and might require a lifelong commitment in order to beat. Hence a lot of commitment is required form the patient.

Cognitive or cognitive behavioral therapy is a handy way to keep panic attacks at bay. The theory behind this form of rehabilitation is that the more that one exposes themselves to the cause of their anxiety, the more they are less likely to feel intimidated by their worst fear. In addition cognitive treatment offers the patient an opportunity to decipher the problem for them so as to minimize all levels of paranoia or irrational thoughts. The effectiveness of each method varies with the person's panic attacks and anxiety. Psychoanalysis in the form of hypnosis has also been known to productively help patients adhere to other therapeutic methods whilst in a trance. Although the results are not very apparent, it has been proven to at least contribute to some rehabilitation.

Most herbal remedies for anxiety have a sleep-inducing effect that demobilizes thoughts that are irrational. Since insomnia is a common result of panic attacks they often contain ingredients such as chamomile, lavender, lemon balm and passion flower that not only soothe the mind of the individual but also lull the brain and nervous system. Conventional medicine or prescription tablets also have sedative effects and they release chemicals that control the brain-nervous system pathway. However, since there are side-effects that come with taking medication one must be aware of all the results that can come from taking tablets into the bloodstream. Well known side effects include nausea and headaches. In more serious cases medication needs to be used in conjunction with some other form of therapy. Mixing hypnotherapy, behavioral therapy and herbal serum is a common form of treatment and is likely to combat more areas than using each medicine respectively.

Nocturnal anxiety disorders are linked to individuals who have improper eating habits. Excessive consumption of caffeine and sugar in the diet trigger a hyperactive nervous system which does not want to rest, as a result their bodies are haunted with fatigue and the people can not concentrate for a long time. Common types of panic attack also include those that are linked with the life pattern of individuals. If you have a job that keeps you behind the desk for hours on end then definitely the body will suffer because if you work until late, chances are you need a strong cup of coffee to keep your eyelids from drooping into much-needed slumber. Time management can also help to achieve healthier eating habits and it also gives leisure and relaxation some attention. We all need our batteries changed or charged every now and then.
