Trouble Knock, Knock, Knocking On Whitehouse Door
55A Little Bit Of Canadian Insight Before Electing Barack Obama
Socialism even in the weakest of forms is still socialism-CG
Whether Barack Obama supporters want to believe his critics or not, the man is a socialist, but in the "neo" sense of the word. He's still a socialist though, and to deny that he is given that he truly believes in "spreading the wealth around" by taking more tax from those people who make more than $250,000.00 a year and giving that money to those less fortunate, like the unemployed and the welfare bludgers, all of whom make up a good portion of the 40 per cent of Americans who don't pay Uncle Sam to begin with, is just plain stupid.
I think of him as a modern day Robin Hood, only he won't be stealing from the rich to give to the poor. All he has do is increase their taxes. It's a real shame that the mom and pop business owners, the ones who put in six sometimes seven long days a week to make that $250,000.00 income will have to make up for Obama's tax grab by maybe laying off a part-time worker, like a single parent trying to make ends meet, or the retiree who needs to supplement his or her income, or the student trying to pay for their education or help out with the bills at home. There a lot of people dependent on small businesses for work, and whether Obama wants to believe it himself or not, the operators will suffer for his tax grab, which in turn means their employees will suffer even harder.
Obama can make the argument that his tax grab helps those dependent on jobs from small business, but at the end of the day that business operator has to compensate for Obama's tax grab and it will be the less fortunate employee that Obama's tax plan is geared to help who suffer the most, despite the fact that they might get $2000 a year in the form of a tax rebate.
Sure the less fortunate might get an extra couple of grand, but they lose a job that might be paying them 3-5 times that amount. How is that good for anybody? Either Obama isn't thinking, or I am a lot dumber than I originally thought I was when it comes to such matters. This tax grab isn't a good for anybody but the welfare bludger and/or the 40 per cent of working and unemployed Americans who don't pay tax in the first place. Who else benefits?
Welfare bludgers are jumping for joy though because this particular tax grab gives them even more incentive not to work. What do they care about losing a job when they don't have one to begin to with? Don't get me wrong, not all welfare recipients are bludgers, but they are a lot of welfare recipients who can't be bothered to get up off their arses and work, and why should they when the government is giving them money.
Where is the incentive in Obama's tax grab to get those people into the work force? And if the IRS believes they have a problem with undeclared income now, wait until Obama gets the keys to the Whitehouse, and then see what happens. Those $250,000.00 income earners, some them anyway, are going to find ways to hide some of their income. Can you say more tax cheats?
Voting for Obama next week might sound like a good idea now, but from where I am sitting he isn't about anything more than John McCain. I don't doubt for one minute that either Obama or McCain are capable of "leading" America, but when it comes to the latter, he knows a little bit more about the needs of America than his worthy opponent, not to mention the wealth of experience he has.
Better the devil you know then the devil you don't.
Then there's Obama's affiliation with some rather unsavoury individuals, the kind of individuals that most Americans wouldn't invite into their own homes. But that's another story for another day.
And of course there's his arrogance, again a story for another day.
Did I mention that he is a manufactured democratic presidential nominee, that since he was elected into the senate, powerful democratic puppet masters have been pulling his strings, trying to mould Obama into the leader they want him to be.
Obama was supposed to have been elected to the senate because of what he said he could do for "the people" but in the end it would appear that his intentions all along were self-gratifying and self-serving to himself and democrats still suffering the sting from their last defeat.
In other words, the only reason he ran for the senate is because it was the only way he could take a run at the Whitehouse, and the only reason he is the democratic nominee is because he is somebody the democrats will be able to push around if he ends up sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office.
Prior to his "Coming Out" party at William Ayer's house Barack Obama was a nobody to the democrats and now look at him, a man who thrives on the celebrity his run at the Whitehouse has given him. And what about his wife Michele, doesn't she look like a very miserable and bitter woman. Luckily for Obama supporters she has seen the light and is now proud to be an American now that her husband is running for president. Maybe she will be the bigger threat to America if her husband wins the election. I wonder what Hilary Clinton thinks about her.
Quite a transformation for Obama isn't it, from a nobody on the political scene to being the celebrity puppet for a still bitter democratic party who for the past two elections hasn't been able to field a worthy candidate to unseat the Republicans in Washington.
This guy sounds like he has the goods to take America onto a bigger and brighter future doesn't he? Yeah right!
Nothing good can come out of making Obama the next U.S. president unless Americans want to become a socialist country where everybody else shares in the financial rewards of somebody else's hard working ways, and if Americans don't mind their president sharing views and opinions with the kind of radical elements in the States he has been known to associate with.
While Barack Obama may be on the cusp of winning this presidential election, it is my hope that Americans during the less than a week they have before going to the polls, wake up and smell the "tax hikes", "socialism", and "radicalism" headed their way once Obama secures his seat in the Oval Office. He is not going to be good for America, only good for the Democratic Party.
But then again I’m just a Canadian neighbour looking into the U.S. from the outside, an amused one who thinks that America isn‘t ready for an inexperienced Barack Obama leading them into the next decade where the only thing certain is uncertainty about America‘s future as a global leader.
One last thing, and at the risk of being labelled a racist or offending an African-American of legal voting age, if it wasn't for the colour of his skin would you really vote for Obama? Isn't it more about his colour than what it is he brings to the presidential table?
Good luck with the Obama thing America because you’re going to need it if he is handed the keys to the Whitehouse in January 09.
