Labrador Puppy Training

You've made an brilliant decision on purchasing a Labrador pup! Labrador puppies make amazing pets, and they are extremely simple to train once you understand their character. As Labradors are hunt and retrieve dogs, they're very outgoing and require your attention during training. Just below I'll bring to light five helpful procedures about labrador puppy training that you should use to train your Labrador puppy.

Tip 1: Leash training. It is really painless to start training your puppy with a leash at the earliest stages of his/her life. Waiting until your pup has matured isn't advisable, since it will be more troublesome to train him/her, since they will become larger dogs (and more challenging to control). You must begin your labrador puppy training on a leash early.

Tip 2: Simple commands. A few essential easy commands to teach them are ones like sit, stay, and come. If you instruct these commands, you'll then be able to instruct complicated commands as the days go by.

Tip 3: This tip is important for labrador puppy training. Do not ever hit your puppy. The reason I say this is because Labradors, being extremely outgoing animals, demand a lot of attention. If you give him/her tending, even negative tending, it brings up their current behavior, including the conduct you didn't desire. Talking from experience, I realize it is painfully challenging to do. Your pup will, however, get right as the days go by if you do this.

Tip 4: Instead, repay your pup's great behavior. Labrador puppy training is about reward and praise. Whenever your puppy does something you like, give him/her a reward such as a treat or a ton of love. The most effective way to do this is by doing an activity such as fetch or playing Frisbee.

Tip 5: Lastly, consistently give your Lab lots of care. Then your labrador puppy training will become much simpler for you. If you do not give enough attention, it is most probable for your puppy to act wrong.
