The History Behind Lamborghini

Adored by car enthusiasts all around the planet, the Lamborghini has become a legendary name never to be unrecognized by anyone. The cars are made for ultimate speed and were built to look in such a way that anyone, even the non car-enthusiasts would undoubtedly admire. The Lamborghini history was started by the self-made millionaire Ferruccio Lamborghini, an Italian, who got very disappointed with the quality of his Ferrari’s clutch and was sent away by the aloof Enzo Ferrari. Lamborghini, challenged by the arrogant Enzo Ferrari, started finding creative ways to solve the clutch problem. Lamborghini found ways to install a tougher clutch from his tractors into his wretched Ferrari. Bearing his self-made promise to never own another Ferrari ever again, he worked hard to beat the proud Ferrari by creating and inventing excellent sport-oriented cars of his very own.

Born as a Taurus, Lamborghini incorporated his zodiac sign which is the bull into the badge of his outstanding vehicles. The Lamborghini 350 GTV prototype was introduced into the public on 1963. From then on, the spotlight shined over Lamborghini’s automobiles. In succession to the 350 GTV, the 400 GT came into the market. Very shortly after it’s debut, Ferrucio’s engineers took a big leap that made a remarkable step in the success of the Lamborghinis by designing and constructing the Lamborghini Miura. The Miura made the name Lamborghini legendary in the world of automobiles. After the Miura, the Countach made it’s way together with the Espada. These two cars kept the company standing still amidst difficult times.

However, on 1972, Lamborghini and the rest of his team suffered a major downfall. Due to the cancellation of a South American client of his orders for massive tractors, the company suffered. They lost a huge amount of money which led to some other complications forcing Ferrucio to sell some of his shares of the company to Fiat. The business was eventually taken over by SAME. With hard work and constant determination, the automobile division of the company stood still amidst all the problems that shook the whole company. However, Ferrucio Lamborghini sold all of his remaining stock that he had of the company to a Swiss financier and fled from the automobile industry.

Today, the Lamborghini automobiles have come to be known as one of the most high-class, outstanding quality and one of the most expensive cars. It exudes elegance, molded yet unsurpassed by time.
