Adwords are a great place to advertise your products and services. You only pay if someone clicks on your ad and lands on your website. You must be tracking the traffic and conversion rate on your landing pages. This is best done with some Analytics program, like Google Analytics that can give you insights in your marketing success.
You must also use split testing on the ads as well as the landing pages to see which headlines or body copy or call to actions are performing better. I prefer to do split-tests with a control (the one we are currently using) and a challenger (a slightly modified version) to continually improve the results.

If you are advertising on Google Adwords, pay special attention to the loading time of your landing pages.

Kill all distractions from your landing pages
