The LeapFrog Tag Reading System brings books to life with the touch of the Tag "pen" or reader. It involves leveled learning activities that adjust automatically to your child's pace to help inspire their love of reading. As they touch the reader to the pages, you hear words talk and pictures sing.

There are over 300 available books and games, so there's sure to be plenty of learning activities for your child. You do need to have a computer, as you must connect the reader via USB cable to it to download the audio for the books you have. The reader can store audio for up to 10 books and you always have access to all your downloaded books on your computer.

My daughter received this for her fourth birthday and uses it at least three to four times a week. It didn't take her any time at all to figure out, on her own, how it works and she enjoys all the activities and stories it offers. The Tag Junior Book Pal is geared more for the younger child, 2 - 4 years old.  It uses the same touch technology as the Tag Reader above.  It is designed to inspire toddlers to explore and introduce preschool skills, such as counting, alphabet and social play.

Parents can download up to 5 books to the book pal, and after your child plays with the book pal you can connect online to the LeapFrog Learning Path to see their progress and get printable activities.

My almost-3-year-old loves to sneak her sister's Tag Reading System away and use it, but she's a little rough with it.  Her birthday is in two months and she will be getting this LeapFrog Tag Junior, along with a few of the books and carrying case.  I know she'll be just thrilled!
