57What is Conjugating and How Do You Do It?
Spanish isn't so hard once you've memorized the rules on how to conjugate verbs. Conju-what? Conjugate just means changing the verb (action word) into the proper form.
Hablo español means I speak Spanish.
Hablas español means you speak Spanish.
Changing the form of the verb is conjugating it. All regular verbs have rules that you just have to memorize. Then there are those pesky irregular verbs that no rules apply to and you just have to memorize the special way to change those irregular verbs.
Hablar- to speak
It's a regular verb. Regular verbs ending in -ar all have the same rules to conjugate it.
You take the -ar ending the verb and replace it with the following:
-o=I
-as=you
-a=he or she (or you formal)
-amos=we
-an=they
Hablo ingles= I speak English
