Keeneland in Lexington meets two times a year, in April and October either rain or shine. Keeneland offers over 900 gorgeous acres of barns and grassy areas which can be explored - many people never make it inside for the races and choose to do their tailgating and eating outside on the grounds.

Entry into Keeneland is only $3 and races begin around 1:00pm and finish around 5:00, creating a hail of traffic on the south side of Lexington.

Keeneland is located directly across the street from Bluegrass Airport on Versailles Rd at the end of Man-o-war rd.

The grounds at Keeneland Lexington are open to the public even when the horses are not racing. You can explore the barns on a nice summer day and meet with grooms that take care of the racehorses.

The race scenes from the movie Seabiscuit were filmed at Keeneland Lexington.
