Review: LG enV
64
The LG enV, otherwise known as the VX 9900, is a Verizon Wireless exclusive cell phone. The V Cast feature, Verizon's multimedia network, is a unique feature contained within the phone along with their VZ Navigator. While the enV is a bit outdated, the enV 2 replacing it, along with the LG Voyager, it still proves to be a popular alternative for an all-in-one multimedia phone for those on a budget.
The enV incorporates Verizon's V Cast network to bring the latest music, movies and TV shows to your phone. Along with this content, it offers trailers, news shows, talk show clips and other updates as they happen through downloadable clips. While a subscriber pays per month for the service, they can download unlimited amounts of free clips whenever they want. Other clips are clearly marked if they cost anything, and you have a choice before you download them.
This allows the phone to act as a multimedia device. It comes with a camera utilizing 2.0 megapixels. It also uses Bluetooth technology, along with a Qwerty keyboard allowing for easier text messaging for those of us who like using a keyboard. The microSD memory slot allows for up to a 4GB SDHC memory card to expand the limited storage space within the phone itself. This allows a user to expand space for photos, videos and music for playback.
Overall, the LG enV is a great buy for those looking to get more from their cell phone. If you are looking for a device capable of doubling as a MP3 player, the LG enV is the right way to go. While it may not offer the flash or the fancy the Voyager or enV 2 does, it does provide the basic functions most cell phone users are looking for. With a reliable battery life and long-lasting durability, the LG enV is a right fit for just about every cell phone user.
