Life after 40

well you are now 40 +. The kids are grown...Not neccesarily gone, and if they are gone they may be back!!! So now what? Well ,You could sit and look at your spouse...but there is plenty of time for that when you are ..say...100. For now you can have the house and yard without clutter(at least until the grand kids come). First thing you and your spouse should do is get your vision and hearing checked!!! Why? So you don't miss a thing.

If you are suffering from empty nest syndrom don't worry it will pass and your life will be full and fun!!!What? you don't have friends? you spent all your time being mom or dad? Join a club....or a book club be the social butterfly you once were. Volunteer at the local pet shelter or asenoir center......You have alot to offer others.

Take that long vacation you wanted!!! Financial problems holding you back? Yeah..The economy is bad. Get a part time job at a hotel....you will get great discounts for rooms in their chain!!

How about menopause? Yes hot flashes and night sweats plague us, but remember it will pass the secret is attitude......It will keep you young and it will make your life better.....make that good attitude.The twinkle of your youth is stillin your eye.....Try to put the bounce back in your step. Dress to make yourself feel good.I seeso many older people shopping in the junior section....just because we aren't teens doesn't mean we don't like fun colors and interesting patterns.

Keep your mind sharp....take a class like photography or creative writing or a foreign language.No time for that? Do cross words, write poetry or write one of our troops in the military.

Rekindle that romance with your spouse, you have alone time now....It can be just as good as it once was.....Health Issues? Well talk and snuggle then.

Living alone? Go to the animal shelter and get a companion, you will be glad you did.....pets lower blood pressure and are theraputic. You don't have much money? Ask the shelter if any pets have money paid on them to make adoption easier.

Bake a cake.take it to a neighbor. Offer to get the elderly lady on the corners groceries.

Still not convinced? Go to the make up counter and get a makeover!!! you don.t have to buy the make up but you will feel good.

If you are a guy.....Go fishing and take your buddy or your son. You need to get out too. Buy his and her bikes ride around the block.......or ride half way and push it the rest of the way. soon you can go the whole way!!!

Life after 40 is just the beginning!!!!!Get out and enjoy it!!!! A walk in the park, visit a relative be all that you want to be. You will be glad you did!!!
