59Using The Law of Attraction In Daily Life.
So, you've read/watched ‘The Secret' and your full of excitement and enthusiasm about making some serious changes to your life. You realise that you can create the kind of life that you have always dreamt about and you are more than ready to take action. Reading ‘The Secret' has opened your mind to new thoughts, it has given you ideas, the time has come to put aside all negative thoughts about your money, your relationships and your career and you begin to get a glimpse of what your life could really be like.
But how do you take on the monumental task of changing an entire lifetime of actions and beliefs? How can you undo all of the damage that has been done by society, peers, parents, siblings, friends and anyone else that has had a hand in molding your beliefs?
‘The Secret' helped you to recognize what needed to be changed and you realized maybe for the first time in your life, that you do not have to live that way, you do not have to settle for a mediocre life. A new and wonderful idea has been opened up to you, but there is one small problem.
How Do You Get There?
The Law of Attraction helped you to realise that you do not want to continue traveling the road you have been on, so how do you change course? Is there a road map to eternal bliss and inner peace? Is there a specific blueprint that you can follow or have you simply been left all alone to figure out the secret to ‘The Secret.'
Don't Panic!
The great the great thing about the Law of Attraction is that help is always at hand. You have reached this blog because you are searching for something; you are searching for answers, the truth.
Your here reading my words, so you already have proof that the Law of Attraction is working in your life. Honestly speaking, ‘The Secret' is just the beginning, it is a great way to be introduced to the Law of Attraction, but it is only the tip of the iceberg. There is much more to this way of living than just wishing for things to happen. Be realistic if it were just a matter of closing your eyes and wishing for what you want, we would all be happy, rich and living without a care in the world.
So How Do You Go About Changing Your Life?
Actually the first step is a really easy one. All you have to do is be thankful. You may be saying to yourself, ‘be thankful for what and to whom?' Say thank you to the universe, say it to God, say it to Allah, Buddha or who ever you consider the higher being to be. Be grateful for all that you have.
The heart of the Law of Attraction is gratitude.
We spend so much of our time thinking that our lives would be so much better and we would be happy if only...If only what? You had a better job, more money, a supportive boss, a younger wife, a slimmer body, a better social life; the list goes on and on and on. The problem with ‘The List' is that when you do finally get what you want your mind automatically adds something else to the list. What does that mean for your dream of being happy if only? Well you never achieve it, you are never happy because you will always want more.
The key to changing your life and achieving lasting happiness is to be grateful for your present life. Have you heard this saying: -
"The past is history, the future is a mystery, but today is a gift, that's why it's called The Present."
I cannot express strongly enough the importance of adopting an attitude of gratitude. When you become truly grateful for your ‘Present' that is when you will be able to attract the type of life that you want and all that you attract will simply enhance your life because you will already be happy.
Start today; sit down right now with a piece of paper and a pen. Think about your life; think about the people and things in your life. Think about what makes you happy, open your mind and be honest, no matter how badly some areas of your life may be going, there is always something or someone in your life that you are grateful for.
An attitude of gratitude is part of my daily life. Every day I open my gratitude book and I write two pages. On one page I write all the things that I am grateful for at that moment and on the other page I write the things that I would be grateful for receiving into my life and I write this page as thought I have already received what I am feeling grateful for. So my daily gratitude pages could look something like this: -
Gratitude - Present Blessings
I am grateful for having enough money to pay my bills.
I am truly thankful for the birthday gift I received from Aunt Janice.
I am grateful for another day on Gods good earth.
Gratitiude - Blessings To Come
I am happy and grateful now that I am blessed with a credit card balance of $0.00
I am so thankful for maintaining my perfect weight of 160lbs.
I am so very grateful for having my sister living in the same country as me.
Notice under Present Blessing I have put the things that I have already received that I am grateful for, and under Blessings To Come there are some things that I am attracting to my life but have not received yet. Even though the blessings to come have not arrived I still write them as though I already have them, this is an important part of the attraction process.
So don't waste any time start writing your gratitude journal today and within just a few minutes you will realise that you actually have an ok life and there are things within it that really do make you happy. Try to write in your gratitude journal first thing in the morning before you start your day or last thing you do at night, either way this will set you up for a really positive uplifting day that can only get better and better.

Hi, thank you.
Nice article, I find this harmonizes well with my faith. I know there is more after this but I would like to make this a habit first, before doing anything else. I know just where to start. Thank you.
