Get Washboard Abs by Losing Belly Fat
58
If you want to get a washboard abs stomach, here are the exact things you need to zero in on:
1) Supportive nutrition: It's best to eat both a protein and a carb at each meal. This will give you the fuel you need and to speed your metabolism day in and day out
2) Meal timing: The best practice for washboard abs is eating small meals every 3 hours. The size of these meals should be small and designed just to give you enough energy for the next meal.
3) Resistance training: Muscle is an absolute must. Fat is actually burned in the muscle cells. Weight training is the best thing to battle against muscle deterioration during a calorie restrictive diet.
4) Cardio training: Cardio training aids fat loss, but it's not necessary to get ripped six pack abs.
For proof cardio isn't needed, you can read Les' story and how he was losing fat so rapidly he had to throw his cardio training out of the program at the Exercises for Washboard Abs homepage.

Thanks for the kind words Boss (did you purposely name your profile Boss #1, so people would call you Boss? :)
But I respectfully disagree... Les is the general population, he's not a bodybuilder, but actually an office computer guy. Here's additional proof the gen. pop doesn't always need cardio:

Though, I do agree that cardio will speed up fat loss.

Again, good hub, but MOST people don't have the option to ditch cardio. Obviously, it is possible, especially given the fact that you don't see most body builders spending a lot of time on the treadmill, but for the general population, cardio is a must.
