Okay... I really do live under a rock of sorts, but things do come to my attention. Recently a video of Louis CK kicking it with Conan O'brien popped onto my view screen and boy-o-boy have I been enlightened. [Edit: The movie was removed from youtube due to an NBC copyright thingy; you could probably find it if you searched hard enough! -Trig]

Since I first saw that video, I've accomplished losing some serious time watching his stand up comedy routines.  Louis CK has been a comic for quite a long time, and he's now hitting his stride.

This guy makes me LAUGH. His seemingly demented approach to life is undeniably raw and unforgiving... but it's so damn funny.  Check out the posted video which is an original take on the old Bill Cosby "kids say the darndest things" routine.

Louis' rant on our "economic crisis" in the land of plenty along with the way in which the "crappiest generation" acts is so true that it's funny.  Louis notes in his own way that the lack of appreciation for what we all have is truly stupid.  And stupid is way funny.

Of course I searched for this mad man comedian known as Louis CK on youtube.com and found some more clips of his stand up comedy routines.  You are well advised to do the same.  Adult diapers may be necessary, but beware.

No doubt, Louis CK offends some people.  His shtick on his kids made me wet the bed.  In one clip seen on youtube.com Louis CK calls his older girl an "asshole" which may sound horrifying, but in context is so true.

Those with children may relate because children, despite all their beauty and intelligence and lovie-ness, can drive you totally insane.  

And yes, I made up the word "lovie-ness".  Enjoy.

Back to the rock I've been living under, further research shows that Louis CK has been doing stand up comedy for at least a couple of days.  One clip is dated from 1987... a quaint 20+ years ago according to my math.

Louis has had an hbo sitcom series, an hbo special, a showtime special, and numerous appearances on TV and radio talk shows.  

If you're in the mood for a fresh laugh, Louis CK is the man.  His take on life is totally unique.  I'm laughing right now.  Ha!
