What Your Wedding Car Hire Contract Must Have – Louth Wedding Car
If you are preparing for your wedding, you've probably got a million contracts lying around your house. Your car rental contract is probably not much different than the others, but unlike some of the other contracts, it is often ignored.
The first thing your wedding car hire contract must have is all the details of the service that they are going to be providing. This should include the make and model of the car, how many people it can seat, and information about the drivers. Included in the driver's information, you should have what the drivers are expected to wear and his or her duties. If you have all of this spelled out, there is not going to be a question of whether or not the service you receive is acceptable or not.
Another thing you should look for is the total price. When you are looking at the price, make sure that everything is written out in as much detail as possible. Included in the price should be how many free miles you have with the car, and the cost of any additional miles. Sometimes, if you go over your allotted mileage, they'll give you a stiff penalty, so you are going to want to know about this beforehand. Also, you want to know about any time limits and how long you can have a car for. If you are going to be cutting it close, you may want to ask about how much additional time costs and see if you can get a bargain. A lot of times if you already have the car for six hours, renting it for eight hours is not to be that much more expensive.
Another thing you should make sure to check is when the bill is due. A lot of times, you may have to pay the entire cost of rental before the date of your wedding, other times you can pay the day of your wedding, and a few companies will allow you to pay after the wedding. By knowing this, you are going to be able to budget your money better and you'll know whether or not you have to carry cash on the day of your wedding. It may just be more convenient to pay beforehand, so you don't have to worry about money on your wedding day. If you do have to pay on your wedding day, you may want to find someone to do the job for you so that you don't have to worry about it.
While we are talking about money, we should probably talk about the deposit. Is your deposit due when you sign the contract, 60 days before your wedding or is there not a deposit at all? A deposit is money that is used to reserve a car, so if your wedding is canceled, you are probably not going to get your deposit back unless you give them enough notice. Make sure that you read the cancellation clause in your contract before signing it, because if anything does happen, you want to know about how much money you are going to be out.
No one wants to think about contracts, but when you are shopping for wedding vendors it's inevitable that you're going to have a lot of contracts. Knowing what to look for and knowing how to get the best contract is going to save you some money and some frustration in the long run.
