Like a ripple in a pool of water, your brain never stops working on a problem even though you might stop consciously thinking about it.
A problem expands through your brain until it hits the synapse that provides the answer. Because it is a closed-system, the more you squeeze down on "the problem" the less likely you'll find the right "answer."
By squeezing down on the problem you limit the possibilities available to you.
I know, as a card carrying perfectionist I know it's hard for me to let go of any problem until I've squished an answer (any answer good or bad) from my obsessed frontal lobe.
There have been times when I've held on to my thoughts so tight, I swear I thought my brain was going to melt down.
Here are some ideas for boosting the effectiveness of your lead generation system
We think inside a "closed system" - our brain. We cannot focus on two seperate objects without naturally forming a connection between them.
Have you ever had a problem where you focused so hard "on the problem" it felt like your head was going to explode, but you never seem to come up with any good answers? I know I have.
Then, when you were in the shower, washing the dishes, or merging into freeway traffic - the answer hits you in the face like a big box of bricks? Isn't that fun?
So why does this happen? You probably know the answer.
It's because once you got outside of your "closed thinking system," you gave your brain the room it needed to take a deep breath and come up with a real solution.
From the millions of reference points you're constantly presented with, your brain drew the connections it needed to solve the problem on it's own.

Reframing: Allow your prospect's brain to work to your advantage
Imagine being able to control the thoughts of your prospects. What would that mean to your business? The fact is you already do, it's just that your system could become much more effective.
The problem is: if you're not getting enough leads out of your visitors, your lead generation funnel has a kink in it somewhere. You aren't framing your product or service in a way to persuade and motivate your visitors to quid pro quo (something for something) with you.
The fact is: You can have the best product in the world, but if you're not framing it right very few people will want to buy it.
Pure and simple: On one level marketing is "framing." Putting your product or service in front of your prospect and allowing them to see it. But on another level it's how you "reframe" to solve their problem or fulfill one of their needs. Simple.
As a marketer success happens when you help your prospect look at your product and allow their mind to take that deep breath (draw the connection) and say: "Aha so that's the answer."
Here's a brief overview from Wikipedia of what "reframing" is. Quote:
"The Six-Step Reframe uses a mild trance state, negotiation, and creativity from unconscious resources to change the "part" that's causing the behavior.
1. Identify the behavior to change
2. Set up signals with the part causing the behavior
3. Identify the positive intention behind the behavior
4. Generate a number of possible alternative behaviors which will equally satisfy the same intent
5. Choose the favored three replacement behaviors
6. Check to see if there is any other internal conflict regarding the change."
Good marketing causes change, it causes your prospect's brain to say "Yes, I am willing to exchange something for something."
