I located this company awhile back. I have been working for them for awhile now. I did alot of research and read several posting about this company. Before I actually got my first paycheck I read a blog on yahoo stating they were a scam. This is far from the truth. The company pays per blog but you only get paid every month. They are shut down right now for a week or two as they install new software thats able to detect click and paste content.According to an email I recieved they were getting too many blogs that were copied and pasted. I can't wait until they resume operations
Lync Media assigns blogs about different subjects most of them are health based. You are free to research those topics and provide information about them. In addition to this you can also give your opinion or write a story about the topic. Most of the topic are health based like acne and weight loss. You have to write six blogs a week per blog.If you are writting for ten blogs that would be a grand total of sixty for the week. Figure you get paid 2.50 per blog and you can do that math multiply that times four and thats amount of your check.

At present Lyncmedia is shut down. They are reviewing all blogs that have been sent to them to assure that they have original content. Some bloggers were just copying content from other websites and taking it as their own. They pay 2.50 per blog that’s not bad money on the internet. They have informed me that they will start blogging soon not sure of the date but hopefully by November 2009

We have received a number of e-mails and phone calls regarding pay for
September and we want to update you all on what is happening so there
is no confusion or worry.
Checks have not been sent yet and will not be sent until later this
month. We do not have an exact date and there is nothing you need to do
to speed up this process. We have received everyone's invoices and will
be sending out checks as soon as we are able to.
We stopped the blogging project September 25th (you all should have
received an e-mail) because we had major problems with bloggers abusing
the system and not following instructions.
As a result, all blog posts are being reviewed individually and being
accepted or rejected based on originality and whether the blog posts
had content relevant to the blog titles. For example, a blog site
called acne.com should have blog postings that talk about acne, other
subjects would not be relevant for pay (this excludes link assignments
which sometimes required you to write off topic). This has resulted in
a longer than normal processing time.
We appreciate your patience, this is all the information we have for now but if anything new develops we will e-mail you.

Lyncmedia is suppose according to their pay rules process the checks by the tenth of the following month. They aren’t doing that this time around. It seems many of the people they employed to write blogs were not writing original blogs. That’s a shame because two dollars and fifty cents per 200 to 300 hundred words is not bad pay. I am not too concerned that eventually we will all be paid it’s only a matter of time. I am thankful that they at least notified everyone that payment would be delayed. I just wish they had done that before the tenth of the month. It is what it is thought maybe they were hopeful that they would have seen more progress than they had. I will be here waiting to continue my employment with Lyncmedia.
10/18/09 Status Update
I spoke with an office employee of Lyncmedia today. She informed me they were paying bills and checking blogs. She was also under the strong impression that once blogging returns it will go off without a hitch. I was informed that blogging should return by November at the latest but she expects it sooner than that. I promised I would keep everyone up to date on the progress of Lyncmedia return to blogging. Cross your fingers, I am positive that once Lyncmedia starts blogging operations again they are going to need some writers.

I want to use this blog as a way to report information that I get about Lyncmedia and to hear what others think about Lyncmedia. I totally agree that Lyncmedia needs to be more professional in the way they handle their work force. They tell us when we first start that the paychecks will be processed and then go out on or near the tenth of the month. They could very easily send a mass email out telling everyone that checks will be delayed. I don’t appreciate it when my checks are late and I have to find out from the company why they are going to be late. I feel that presently Lyncmedia should tell us when for sure we will receive payment. At least this time they emailed us and told us they were going to be late. Unfortunately, they told us they were going to be late well after they were already late. Lyncmedia will be changing the way they do the blogs they very well should address how they treat us their work force.

Well it has been another week and as far as I know Lyncmedia is still not resumed blogging. I have also not been paid. We were suppose to be paid on the 10th and then we all received the email that I posted. I have not heard a peep from anyone with Lyncmedia.
Up Date 10/27/09
Today I was informed that Lyncmedia will cease trying to check all the blogs that everyone sent in before making payment. Finally, they are going to begin sending checks out to people as they check all of those individual blogs. My understanding is that Lyncmedia will begin checking those blogs of people that have been working with them the longest. Cross your fingers folks soon hopefully soon we will all get our money owed to us. I pointed out in earlier conversations that they Lyncemedia were receiving hits to their sites due to our blogs regardless of rather or not they were legal blogs. Maybe that argument got through to them who knows.
I suggested they start blogging back under the plan that a blog is submitted to their oversight and if it’s approved then it would be added to the website. Only after our blog was approved would we write another. Surely, they can read 200 to 300 word blogs or have their program verify that the content was original.
I no longer believe they will be up and running by November 1st. I am thinking more like before Thanksgiving.

Update today I was notified that my sites should be checked by the end of the week. They will then send an email telling me how much I should receive and if I agree they will print a check and then send it to me. In addition I was informed that all blogging that is happening now is being done in office. That there was still no indication on when out of office blogging would return. They are hoping possibly by mid November but it could be Christmas or the first of the year before any firm decison would be made
Update 11/12
Lyncmedia has apparently stopped answering emails. I have sent several in the last few days. The last email I sent in some detailed information about my blogs and the agreement that I had to agree to before I could start blogging for them. I am hoping they are doing their part to get my money to me soon. At this point I do not believe I want to work for this company anymore. All my checks have been late and this one is over a month late. One good thing I guess I have not done any more blogs for them
Update 11/20
Lyncmedia has still not paid me for my work back in September. They have since completely shut down blogging operations. Good thing it appears as if they are not going to have money to meet payroll. I am presently searching a good lawyer. I just hope it is not going to cost me more in legal bills then my pay would be for working for them.I sincerely wish I had never gotten involved with them. If this company ever comes back and starts doing this again my voice will be one of the strongest screaming do not fall for it. They take your work and make their money but it is like pulling teeth to get yours from them.

It is of paramount importance that you keep every email sent back and forth to anyone that you work for but especially when you are an freelancer.Without the proof of who told you what and when they told you good luck on getting paid.Especially if your contact person becomes seperated from the company you contracted with. That is what happened to me with Lync Media.Angela was the person I was hired and worked for she knew what I was doing and had approved everything I did. When her time at Lync Media expired I would have been up a creek without a paddle. Luckily was smart enough or too slow on the deleting to have most of my emails.Lync Media actually paid me for more that I was owed.Im not going to argue took them long enough to get me paid in the first place

I have received pay from them. If I had not I would have the same reservations as Jackie. The people that write blogs for Lyncmedia are independent contractors.We don't work for them directly. There office is located in Utah. I believe in Orem. I am not happy about being off but it is what it is. Jackie is right and I totally agree that they should have been reading those blogs as they were coming in not waiting for later
Im suprised that you talk to someone on the 18th because they make it really clear that they do not work on the weekends. You must have a super phone nonauthorityfigur. I agree with Jackie, that people who make a living of this company is a sure disapointment! Blogging is fun and this company is easy. Even a 16 year kid can do this. They should have checked there blogs during the down time. If they did this once, would they do this again now that they have a new software program. This does have shady aspects. And it is not fair to the bloggers who did not copy and paste. Not sure that Im going to work with this company. I comited to doing the 5 links for some extra christmas money. If I were to depend on this for a living, I no for a fact that I would have written the better business Bureau, and the Labor board. This would be the only way I know that would speed up there process. I like this page, and I like what you folks have to say. They do not work on weekends. You jumped to a conclusion I said she is an office employee not that she was at work. You are right that its not fair to those of us that did not copy and paste. I am curious what good would come out of writing to either the better business bureau or the labor board.As far as I know people that work for this company are independent contractors. I do not see where the labor board would come in.May I ask when did you start working for Lyncmedia? Have you received a paycheck? I have and it did not bounce. nonauthorityfigur, I tried to work for this company for at least a month and unfortunally, I'm not that computer savy or much of a writer. LOL.... We both have gotton paid but Jackie has done a lot more then me. She's been doing this for a while. I liked seeing the checks and she is a lot more opinionated then I am. I too will be glad when they reopen because this gave Jackie something to do that is upbeat and profitable. I usually use her email to do things with so that is why you got us both. I like what you have to say, your almost like Jackie, you both have a lot of good or interesting things to say. I was just giving my opinion on what I would do if I were depending on this company for a living. But thanks to people like you two, your willing to be patient. I don't due business this way and I will not be working for this company in the future. I started blogging with this company in August and receive only one paycheck. It was late! I too did this for some extra money. I would rather sell Avon then do this. I agree with Jackie's husband. What they are doing is ilegal concerning the way they are to despense the wage. Im angry....So I would never recommend Lyncmedia to anyone. I do feel real sorry for the people that did this on a full time basis. I would be taking legal action also. Especially during this recession.
You worked for them since August and only received one pay check that would have been the pay period in September right. My check was late during that month as well. I wish they would get thier act together have you found any other blogging sites

Did you get paid yet? I have yet to receive mine so far! I'm still checking the net to see if there are any other sites simular to Lyncmedia. So far, the ones I have found want to pay you by Pay Pal. And I don't do pay pal at all. They screwed up my bank account one time. And that was one time to much!!!!! I have found about 9 customer service companies were your doing strickly clerical and phone work. Im starting one next week commiting to 25 hours a week for them. They pay on the 1st and the 15th each month at an hourly rate The first two checks that I receive will be by mail and if I choose to do so I can have a direct deposit from them. I look forward to supplementing my income. Plus they have a steady work load. I could take on more hours, but it is to much for me with the full time schedule that I assume. Keep up your good work for this site and maybe others frim Lyncmedia will follow. It's nice to see that my husband and I were not the only ones to see this. Do you call Lyncmedia often? If you do, who do you talk with mostly? Or do you have any indication of when they will be up and running again? I might take Helen up on her comment, about not working for Lyncmedia too. I don't no right now, I can't decide. If I give them another chance, I will not tolerate this pattern again.
Today, I called the company and receive for the first time and listen to a voice mail message that stated that I reached another company name not Lyncmedia. I also called another phone number that I had on hand and reached a live person. The young lady I spoke to said that Brian (the manager) won't be back in the office until Wednesday. She asked if I wanted to leave a message and I told her no that I would email Brian instead. I decided not to email Brian because I he would probley give me the same info that he gave you regarding the new start date. Since I did not receive my pay last month, I decided to email there billing department demanding an explaination as to why I have not received my money. I also gave them a deadline for a reply. Well, I received my answer and was told that my check will be mailed tomorrow. They didn't ask or email me for a approval or a decline. It must of been the way I expressed my concerns. My min d is already made up and I decided not to work for this company anymore. This is not the proper way of doing business and I will not recomend this company to anyone I know. So folks, pleae beware of Lyncmedia.......

Here is the email that I sent to this company. All I simply said to the billing department was this:
To whom it may concern, according to Lyncmedias contract is that I as an independent contractor, that I am to receive my earned wages through blog posting on the 10th of every month from the previous months work. As per your last email regarding payment, you stated that you will be mailing out my check some time in the month of October. I have completed my end of this bargain and I expect for you to do the same. It is now November 1st! You breached your end of the contract and I have the legal means and grounds to do something about this. I expect my check to be in the mail on or by the 31st of October. If you have yet to do so, I expect an explaination as to why! If I find that your reason(s) is not validating, I will speed up YOUR process legaly. I expect a reply by no later then November 1st. Look forward to hearing from you.
Next thing you no, they notified me that It was being mailed on the 2nd. I didn't add in my previous post is that I did Lyncmedia blogging on a fulltime basis for the month of September. So they owe me quite a bit of money. Thank God that I'm not hurting for money! I only did this so that I could buy my family something a little nice for Christmas. Could you imagine if a person was doing this for a living! I here some people in this company do. I feel very sorry for them. And I personally, would not tolerate this if I were them. So I hope this answers some of your questions. I did not feel the need to email this to you personally, I just wanted everyone on the net to no excatly what happed to most of us. Ok Folks, get this. Yes, I got my check today and but I only receive half of the amount with out an explaination. I just posted a nasty email and plan on letting no how I really feel.

Ok, todays update. Lyncmedia told me that my check was a clerical error and that they will send the other half of the money they owe me. Today is friday and I probly wont see my money until next thursday. What a mess these people are. According to billing is that they had a mix up of dates. I confirmed all my work being received in September and they said that they receive it all. (&%$@) This is nuts. I'm going to find something else. Good luck to all of you. Hello, I was hired by lync Media in late September and worked for them for two days before they closed operations. I got paid for my two days in late October. The lady in accounts payable told me it was up in the air if they would use outside bloggers anymore, but it seemed more no than yes. I have tried to reach that Brian to get some status but he has not responded to me. It almost seems like their issues are more related to a cashflow problem then the story of having to audit all accounts for cutting and pasting blogs. It is the old expression if it seemed to good to be true it usually is.
Ok, The latest update! I got my second check 2 days after I emailed them. Now I'm satisfied that I got my money. Hey Douglas, the story that I got was that the company was updating its new software system. Then it turned into copy and pasted blogs, and now who knows whats up. Yes, it seems like it may be a cash flow thing. Hey nonauthorityfigur, did you get your money yet? Today is the 11th and that makes them exactly one month and one day old. I would really consider some to the point emails if I were you. This is a shame because this was a way to make some easy money. Good luck folks. If you talk to Brian, he is only going to tell ya that you need to take the issue up with the billing department. Just so you know.........! But I would kindly copy and paste there contract to them and remind them of there obligations. Demand that you receive your payment within 48 hours and that you remind them that you have cc your attorney regarding this issue. And PLEASE remind them that they have violated labor laws and that you intend to see this process will be inforced to it's fullest extent. I'm sorry about what had happen to you but I want to let you no that you can reverse the roll on this slimmy company. It will cost Lyncmedia a fortune to pay your attorney fees. You won't be out of any out of pocket expense. You demand that they pay you or they will be seeing you in court. Small claims court can definatly take care of the delacate matter. They have no right to do this. Just go to your local court and they will be able to take care of you. Save all of your correspondence, blogs, and any other documentation and that will settle your matter. Did you reach them by phone or did you reach them by email? Who did you speak to? If you need my help, I will be more then happy to do so. Or anyone else in that manner. You really need to contact the labor board first then follow suit with the rest. Good luck to you and all.

I have done some work with this company as well. Do you know why it's taking so long? Because people are idiots. If you remember, they sent out a paper basically detailing new rules a while ago, some time before September. Anyway, they talked about actually blogging on the topic, whatever that may be, not copying content, not repeating topics, etc. They have quite a few blogs, and apparently many of us weren't bothering to do what we were told. When I did get paid, I was paid for all my writing. But I can imagine some of the bloggers who did not bother following directions would not be too happy right now.
And in terms of small claims court, good luck getting a ruling that would include your attorney's fees or for that matter the court fees. Unless you are getting losing a signficant amount in any financial matter, small claims court is not really that great

I too was paid for all of my writing. But that does not give them the excuse to be this late. All they had were 120 bloggers which isn't that many. They have had more then there share of time to make there payouts. If they had been checking there blogs all the long, they wouldn't have the problem that they are having now. I was not in the catagory of being ONE OF US becaue I followed the rules. Either way, they should have paid every honest (blogger) person by now. The honest people shoud have been paid no later in the middle of October. So yes, this company is very wrong. I currently am working for another work from home job doing customer service @ 30 hours a week. I get a reasonable hourly wage and a bonus for making a monthly commitment. I love it. Now, for writing or blogging jobs, there are other companies. The others that I have reviewed, approve or decline your blogs before it gets posted. There for, I no that the company is doing it's job and that there on top of it, and they do compensate you. I will soon shortly post the company that blog for in the next couple of week. ya, it would have been preferable to get paid earlier. Luckily, I had some money on hand for an even such as this. But the simple fact is that with that many blogs and I'm assuming that many bloggers, things take time. So the way I figure it, throwing a fit, posting crap all over the internet, calling them a scam, it's not going to do any good. All it does is make you look like an impatient little child. End result, I got paid, because I did my job and sent a correct invoice. The likelihood is the people who are crying the loudest are the ones who didn't do their job.

You see tarapages, this company had plenty of time to check about 120 peoples work past and present. I guess I could understand if they had about 1000 people. So there for if I am one of those people who did there job and got paid in early November for Septembers work, Your dam right that I'm going to cry. And If there payroll had extended it any longer, I would have had the pleasure of taking this matter legaly. So when I cried like a impatient little child, I got my way and got paid.
