How to clean your white Macbook cover

Does your white macbook look like that? Do you wash your hands before using them and it still has those dirty hand prints? What about the macbook cover? Are there scratches? If so, this tips are for you.

Things You'll Need:

* Eraser * Nail Polish * Nail Polish Remover * Window Cleaner * Soft cloth

Step1

First things first, let's get rid of those dirty hand prints. This trick is simple and cheap. Take the eraser and gently rub away the dirty prints! Any old eraser will do, but a white one is preferred.

Step2

When the eraser sheds are white take a damp wash cloth and rub away at any left over marks and eraser sheds. Be careful not to get any water near the keyboard.

Step3

Now that you've erased what you can, get some window cleaner and spray it on a soft cloth or a paper towel like bounty will do. Now start by cleaning up the screen then move down to the keyboard.

Step4

Cleaning the keyboard may take a little longer, but I promise that its worth it! Repeat step three by spraying some windex or any window cleaner onto a cloth and then rub at the keyboard. You can spend some more time on each key but thats up to you. In no time your keyboard will almost look brand spankin' new!

Step5

Before doing the last few steps, spray some windex on the macbook cover and wipe it down to make sure that it's clean. This step is really crucial if you want to do the last two steps!

Step6

Now for the last step, this requires some most time and care than the last steps. First take the nail polish remover and brush it over the scratch on the laptop. Let it dry and then apply another coat. Make sure that the coats are not thick.

Step7

After the nail polish has dried up, get the nail polish remover and start rubbing at the nail polish. Be light and try not to press too hard. Basically, the nail polish fills into the crack and then the nail polish remover will only take away what is on the surface, leaving a nice glossy finish that makes it seem like new! After the nail polish dries, polish up the top with some more window cleaner and you're good to go!

The materials were: a part of an old jeans as the base, old buttons and hand stitchery, some glue in order to stick the fabric cutouts and some rhinestones. Here is the result. It’s my unique [...] - 17 months ago
