Madonna's Back

And I don't mean Esther or Madge, but Madonna! Not that bestselling children's author or the spiritual Kabbalist trying to convert the celebrity world. Not the post-punk, 90s goodie two shoes but the defiant rebel who changed American culture, one boy toy at a time. And I, for one, am glad she's back! Like old soda, she's was falling flat and we've been losing interest in her.

Like a Virgin Madonna

Remember her? Before the 80s were fully in the throes of sexual debauchery, Madonna was giving us signs of the future by rolling on the floor like a virgin and preaching to her papa about keeping her baby. Parents complained about her evocative references while fans paid homage to their new blessed virgin wearing crucifixes, lace gloves, white camisoles, and ruffle skirts. Many fans revere this tame, fun, feminine version of Madonna. She doesn't ruffle many feathers here or aggressively promote her feminist agenda. I, for one, am glad she reinvented herself. Not her style so much, this was one of my favorite styles, but her voice. Not her singing voice, but her female empowering, iconoclastic voice.

Express Yourself Madonna

Do you rememer when and where you were when you first saw that Jean Paul Gautier gold coil bra shaped like very perky breasts? I saw it in 1990 when I was watching MTV. What a taboo it was that she wore a sexually evocative custom resembling a female sex organ and underwear. Soon everyone was wearing clothes that resembled underwear as it had become haute couture rather than raunchy. Over these years we'd see her grab her crotch and hitch a ride nude on the Champs-Elysee. Some of us paused and scratched our heads, wondering what happened to our pop queen as she charged full throttle down controversy lane. We were young and later came to realize she was, in fact, paving the way for sexual equality to exist for us women who were forced to suppress our sexuality and sexual desires while men were encouraged flaunt and explore theirs prior to Madge's, oops I mean't Madonna's entrance on the world stage.

The English Roses Madonna

Two thumbs down. Though being a best-selling author, spiritual, and English are not bad traits on other people, it just doesn't seem Madonna. After all, how does one go from grabbing your crouch in front of millions to being an enlightened spiritual leader with a white picked fence? One retires, as she did when she handed the batton to Britney Spears during the 20th Annual Music Awards.

Sticky and Sweet Madonna

Yes folks, she's back and us fans are sighing in relief. This is the version we like, the "real" Madonna. Instead of wearing flowery sun dresses to fit into conservative society, she's wearing black pleather pants and donning her infamous boy toy boots. Plus, she's saying some controversial things. So where has she been all this time? I don't know, but she's changed ever since she married Guy Ritchie who is the step-son of Sir Michael Leighton. Being married into royalty, you can't really do anything controversial that will bring you negative attention, especially in England. But that's just as guess....I'm glad she's back.

I used to be enamoured with Madonna. Now she is just a tired worn out wh*re.

She is just back to sell out. The passion is gone. Just a commercial package.

Logic-Sell out to whom? She is a bit annoying trying to include younger artists into her fold-not that there's anything wrong with younger artists, it's just annoying. Being a woman I have to say "tired worn out wh*re" is just a tad disrepectful to women. Though.
